At this point I am glad that we dont have that kind of owner, RVP truly showed his truly color and he should be kicked out or Arsenal.
Any club RVP goes to will be mistake for the club, the money he is asking no team in their right mind should pay that.

That would be the death of player professionalism if RVP finally got his way and was granted a fat paycheck. It's becoming too frequent like in the article Raptor posted, loyalty is spat on by big players like the Rooneys and Tevezs. This is just one more instance of corrupt player power.

That salary is lesser than what we offered him at 130k p/w, right?
I'd take this deal. Sell for 3 mil less than our evaluation but to a non-PL club. I'd take that.

Re: RvP Contract Talks
Yup, that's what I'd do, too. If the opportunity to sell to a foreign club arises, and the player would be willing to, I would lower the asking price. Just to get him gone.
Really can't wait until this is all over.

Yeah, this deal he's agreed to is 90,000 pounds per week if it's the 6 million euros a year deal.
So he really doesn't believe in the club. Player power will be the death of this game, loyalty is dead.

Thanks boss! i'm not hating any players who left Arsenal either. They want something new in their career, so, they should do what they think will help them reach their goal. They've served good in Arsenal already. I think staying in the team with much doubt will not be helpful either, in some way moving out is beneficial.

Re: RvP Contract Talks
ARSENAL GET TOUGH ON VAN PERSIE
ARSENAL are ready to make Robin van Persie stay at the club until the January transfer window.
There is a growing feeling at the Emirates that the club needs to make a stand after the loss of several key players.
Refusing to sell Van Persie now would send a strong message to fans that the Londoners have had enough.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus all want the Dutchman, but are unwilling to pay anything near the £30m Arsenal are demanding for their skipper. United’s bid is understood to have been less than £10m.
If Arsenal keep him for the first half of the season they know they could still command a decent fee in January when clubs could be desperate to land a top striker.
The Gunners have talked tough before, most notably when they insisted they would not let Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas go to City and Barcelona respectively.
Both did move, but it appears there is a feeling at the club that ‘enough is enough’. Keeping Van Persie, 28, for another six months could help them to persuade him they are in a position to challenge for trophies.
The Holland international does not expect to have wrapped up a move by the time the Gunners return from their tour of the Far East from which he was omitted, supposedly over fitness concerns.
Last night Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood confirmed the club would not be bullied into letting Van Persie go on the cheap.
And Hill-Wood said he was puzzled why the Gunners skipper wanted to quit the club.
“He is a world-class player and we don’t want to give him away,” said Hill-Wood.
“If he is determined to leave that is up to him, but giving him away is not on our agenda.
“To be honest I do not understand him at all. I understood Cesc Fabregas wanting to go home to Barcelona last summer. I had sympathy with that.
“But I thought Robin was happy at Arsenal, especially after the season he had with us.”
Van Persie scored 37 goals and won the Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year awards.
But he announced this summer he would not be signing a new deal with the Gunners, with his current one having just a year left on it.

There's no way the club will keep van Persie until January. If they do that, his fee would be considerably lower than it already is.

John Cross on the RvP saga: Wenger has kept his side of the bargain, now it's up to van Persie

Arsene Wenger has kept his side of the bargain. Now let's wait and see what Robin van Persie does next.
No-one can criticise Arsenal this time, as they have done their business early and brought in two top class signings in Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud.
If that is not proving their ambition, please tell me what is.
Wenger is building a team he thinks can challenge for trophies.
