I'd appreciate it if you could resize it to 150 pixels width. Think about the poor guys who use mobiles! Thx in advance!animal.crackers wrote:BTW, is my avatar better now?

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
It would be a very close game.. I don't think city should be judged by the UCL's performance... They lost with bayern on allianz, the only team who dominated city in all the aspects of the game this season.. Than they had two very close games with napoli, unfortunatley for them they lost away, but they put a good performance(balotelli had some good chances)...napoli who plays well against big teams.. United wasn't able to pass the group stage to, but no one can deny that they are very strong, they are in the top 3 for the last decade, juddging their performance in UCL and Premier League.

Would still pick Marcelo over Clichy
- Spoiler:
- Cole is better than both, anyway.

Nothing wrong with that. Like I said, it depends on what you prefer.Barrettinator wrote:Would still pick Marcelo over Clichy
Personally, I like my fullbacks to be able to defend FIRST. Dribbling in advanced areas like Marcelo is mere a luxury for me.

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
A better question would be, which manager would be the first to decide to attack
Nah, if this match happened in a neutral pitch, I think it would be pretty balanced like the Bayern semifinal but Real Madrid would win this.

I think it would be a close game as well because City now have the winning mentality that is hard to breed in a new team.tuddor wrote:It would be a very close game.. When City played Bayern, we were the better team for 30 minutes. I honestly thought we were going to win that match. On an English Bayern forum, they were saying City were the better team until they scored.
What happened was Bayern got such a soft goal from a goal keeping parry.
Okay, we're still in it. AND THEN, Bayern get ANOTHER soft *bleep* goal, right before the half (the worst time to concede).
After that, the players were playing like there's no way we can come back at the Allianz and didn't even try to give Bayern a fight.
After that, City has had to make several comebacks this season, and now I think we have the "never say die" mentality that all teams should have.
Those Napoli games were shocking. We had so many chances to win, and we didn't.
That's what makes Europe exciting, if you don't convert your chances, it is so easy to be knocked out.

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Lol Clichy made his name for his ability to over lap and go forward.
He was never known to be a solid LB and was targeted a lot by teams when he was at Arsenal and he isn't better now than he was before.

He was a scapegoat for Arsenal's defensive problems.EarlyPrototype wrote:He was never known to be a solid LB and was targeted a lot by teams when he was at Arsenal and he isn't better now than he was before.
At City, he has had an unreal season. He's probably only made like one or two mistakes and I ain't even kidding .
Speaking to some Arse fans, they think that Arsenal's offside trap system, didn't suit Clichy.

Did you even watch Clichy at Arsenal? He was always a good LB. He was never a scapegoat. Apparently when he joined City he became good lmao

So many Arse fans posted on City forums saying he was shit. And they never forgave him for playing Villa onside.
This made me genuinely shocked at how good he was in blue. I'm sure you've watched City this season. You gotta admit, Clichy has been a beast.

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Some fans can be stupid, but Clichy was ALWAYS a good LB - and thinking about the lack of LB's nowadays I'm still like "wtf we don't have clichy anymore?".
I don't have to admit it, I think he's the best LB atm.

Re: Real Madrid vs Manchester City
Honestly, I don't see how we can win.
All we can hope for is a draw.
Scrubs like Ramos,Khedira,Alonso and DMzema , defensive liabilities like Arbeloa and Marcelo, up against gods of football like Yaya, Kompany , Aguero, Balo, Tevez, and solid defenders like Zabaleta and Clichy?
Nah that sounds like a 3-0 at least in favor of City.
