That's Pep's strategy. He wants Messi to break all the records. For example, in Real, Ozil and Di Maria assist goals, Ronaldo, Benz and Higs have to score. In Barca, Messi is the ultimate star.

It's funny when some people say that without Xaviesta, Messi is useless. I think that without Messi, Barcelona is a pretty average team.
It's like RVP for us this season. I'd love to see a chart like Jiopsi posted for our pts + position in table with RVP's contribution, followed by one without.

Xaviesta automatically gives 70% possesion. That helps Messi alot. However, Barca without Messi is WC and EC winner.

This is a great accomplishment, but still the goals after clasico were useless! He should have scored against Madrid at the mou camp. I am not taking away his goal tally but he should have won something while scoring these goals.
