I consider Maradona and he did blow. I consider Dr. Brian Charles Lara a legend and he once beat his girlfriend (true story) and I consider Messi a (future) legend and he took HGH.

So yeah, I would consider him one...

TBH he could've either been that one midget nobody knows the name of, or he could be Messi. He's still a short f*cker and while some perks might be nice, just remember that he needed f*cking growth hormone to grow to the size of the average thirteen year old.

Give the kid a break. And AFAIK he isn't taking it anymore, so most of the effects should'Ve worn off, besides him growing to only barely laughable size.

Of course he can.

But one day, when they start upbringing footballers using substances like this, a limit must be drawn.

But Messi took it not to play football but because he didnt produce enough HGH himself to grow. Did that also help develop his feet and muscle, yes. HGH is a miraculous thing. On children it has extraordinary effects. And on adults it's a rejuvenator whose only bad effects are heart issues and possible development of cancer.

if i understand correctly, then HGH is a naturally occurring hormone. meaning that everyone has HGH hormones in their body. now messi had a deficiency of HGH as a child, so when doctors decided to put him on HGH (something that would have been necessary even if he never played football) weren't they merely bringing his HGH levels up to that of a normal human?

May I remind the OP Maradona did blow. BLOW!!!! And yet most of us consider him a legend without much thought put into it. Growth hormones isn't illegal in football and I'm sure he stopped using it now.

These are some of the effects he has gotten from HGH that has made him a better footballer:

Bone strength
Brain function
Tissue repair
Whole body healing
Sharper vision
Increased exercise performance
Increased memory retention

Saying HGH hasn't made him a better football is a lie IMO. All of these effects make you a much better player.

you're assuming that by taking HGH his biological capacities have surpassed that of a normal human. is there evidence to support this? or were his HGH levels brought up to that of a normal human (and thus his biological capacities are on par with what that of any other elite athlete)?

remember he took them because he had a deficiency of HGH in his body. this isn't barry bonds and balco we're talking about here.

Messi had started taking HGH from 14, i think. At 18 and 19, he suffered from consistent injuries. So, your point is not quite valid.

that still doesnt answer the question of whether or not messi's HGH levels were merely brought up to that of a normal human. i dont think you argument can logically proceed without first establishing this point.

At the same time, it was 1 bad year compared to the rest of his career where he has been mauled and suffered from the worst rugby tackles yet no injuries.
