Re: Should we buy aquilani?
WERE NOT SIGNING AQUILANI!!!!!!!!
apparently Milan said no and Aquilani will be shipped back to Liverpool by seasons end. He has only made 21 apperances this season. 45 min and less apperances count for 1/2 a game. hes only started 13. They said they will rarely/not use him at all so the clause will not be activated
wow

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
Ok ... let's sign Seedorf Muntari and Ambrosini ..
Are we stupid or we're going to cash in the summer so we dont even need Aquilani ?

It's Allegri's fault, as much as I hate to say it, he is the coach and he should ask for money and signing or he is useless.

8mil is a rip off for a mediocre player who is not gonna get any better at the age of 28,plus he is injured all the time.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
Id rather keep Muntari than him. He is very ugly and does retarded crap sometimes, but isnt injured all the time , doesn't get bullied off the ball like Aqua, and wins ball in the MF. Dont forget Montolivo is arriving he'll do the creative part in the MF better than Aquaboy .Forza Rossoneri wrote:better than almost all the rest of our midfielders.red&blacklegion wrote:8mil is a rip off for a mediocre player who is not gonna get any better at the age of 28,plus he is injured all the time.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
Aquilani is actually a decent player and I would be very disappointed if Milan let him go when he is so cheap! I think they would rather get players for free and someone who is more defensive
As far as creativity goes in the midfield, right now he is the most creative. Prince is just a work horse, Nocerino runs forever, Seedorf is 10000 years old, Ambrosini is 20000 years old, Muntari is an accident waiting to happen, Flamini who?, Merkel has potential but still young, MvB is a DM. In conclusion, we NEED to keep Aquilani.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
I told you guys, I've been deeply following Milan and Galliani's moves for a long while now, and once i read that clause I knew that Galliani has :vagi: Liverpool, i still think we will get him but it is going to be one controversial signing if you ask me.
At some point i think Aquillani was not injured, we just didn't want to play him so we can still have the option whether to buy him or not. Now if we tell Liverpool we don't want him and he refuses any other potential move, we can get him for much lower than the 8 Million, or Liverpool will have to keep him with his wages.
A cheap move if you ask me, but hey its Galliani we are speaking of here.

I feel bad for Aquilani...A good dude & decent player
He must be thinking that he's unwanted every where he goes...this could drive a man to suicide

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
will be very furious with galliani and co. if aquilani is not bought ...
gattuso ambrosini doesnt deserve contract extension. being a high profile and longest serving player doesnt mean they deserve to be in milan. its pretty stupid and pathetic that they are past their best since 2007 and 5 years since they have stayed and havent left at all.
they are past their best since 2007 and now its 2012, 5 years gone by this time another clubs squad era would have finished already and starting new cycle..
we are still stuck with these guys... unf..kinbelievable... this is getting really pathetic and ridiculous
have huge respect for gattuso and ambrosini but it gives wrong message to the club,.
aquilani deserves to stay instead.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
The father of Alberto Aquilani expects Milan to send the midfielder back to Liverpool at the end of the campaign.
The player joined the club on loan last summer with a clause that the Italian club would be forced to sign him outright should he play in 25 League games.
The 27-year-old is currently stuck on 21 Serie A ties and there are just four matches left in the season.
“I don’t think that Milan will decide to sign him outright, otherwise they would have done it by now,” Claudio Aquilani told TMW on Friday afternoon.
“I think he’ll return to Liverpool, but Alberto has always been settled in England.”
The Roman joined the Anfield outfit in the summer of 2009 from Roma, but he struggled with form and fitness.
He spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Juventus, but the Turin giants decided against keeping him outright as well last summer.

This isn't looking good. With Aquilani, Van Bommel, Seedorf, Ambrosini and others up in the air I've really no idea what our midfield is going to look like next year.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
maybe the sole reason why we are not signing aquilani is because we are getting montolivo for free, so galliani and his co. must be thinking why pay 6 million if we are getting another playmaker for free.
that maybe fine, but this move is so unethical, from moral point of view, this kind of tactic is pretty low, and unprofessional from our side it disgusting if this were to happen, i will wonder since when did our directors become such a low life..... aquilani may havent been given the best he could, but he was out injured too, but on and off the pitch he has been very professional very vocal about doing the best he could for milan, and that being in milan is the best thing that has ever happened to his career, we are just acting like BACKSTABBERS.... galliani gave his word that aquilani will definitely be bought!!!!
im absolutely lost for words. and my feeling is that montolivo is a downgrade to aquilani... montolivo is having such a s..tty season this year...
while we are paying gattuso ambrosini seedorf quite a hefty salary, believe me .. they are earning more than aquilani.... actually aquilani even accepted a paycut to join us... 2.5 million a year.. if my memory is good, correct me if i m wrong but seedorf earns 3.5 million, ambrosini about 3 million. gattuso also around that!!!!
btw.. i just checked... aquilani earns 2 million!!!! 2 million... he accepted paycut..!!
seedorf.. 3 million... gattuso 4 million!!! ambrosini 3 million????
i will my judgement to u guys... morally speaking who deserves to stay more... aquilani...
or veterans!

True that Jespswe, always think that those veteran should just leave with dignity. They're like tumor (this might be over but fact) in the squad. They disallowed youth's chances to shine, increase burden of wages bill, and perform awfully and yet still mourning for playing time. I respect their professionalism but they are also selfish from the overall point of view for the club. And realised that recently Italy can't produce exciting talents compare to German and Spain. The veterans keep staying culture is really annoying.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
The Italian joined Liverpool for £16 million in 2009, but struggled to settle due to injuries and has since returned to his homeland in loan deals with Juventus and Milan.
The former Roma man has made 22 appearances this season, but has failed to start any of the last four games amidst rumours that Milan do not want to trigger the automatic £6m buy-out clause that will come into effect if he plays 25 games.
Dalglish expressed his frustration at the Italian champions’ conduct, but admits that he would welcome Aquilani back to Anfield.
"We've done everything right from our side, so how they want to play it and what they want to do, that's up to them," told reporters.
"If they don't want him, tell the boy you don't want him. They will do what they have to do. If they don't trigger it or they don't want him, it's not a problem.
"I'll be disappointed for the boy, but then he'll come back here as he's our player."

I agree with Dalgalish, what Milan is doing is embarrassing, stop toying with him and tell him what they want! This is unbelievable, disgusting behaviour from Galliani and co.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
thank you milan31, tonythabeast, tehcpeng for sharing thoughts. we all are on the same wavelength that aquilani should stay, and he deserves to stay.
i was critical of him being not exactly the type of player we want but, seeing the veterans performance, and injury situation is not helping on our cause either, we need him, we need him to play more, he needs us, and we need him.
this attitude of galliani, and our board... is really appalling. absolutely .. milan31... we shouldnt be toying with his feeling. we gave us assurance that he would stay.. he would play 25 more games, the clause will be activated.
i hate people who dont stick with their words, nothing is worse than a liar, and i hope galliani isnt doing this. i hope aquilani stays.
if business is their only motive of not buying aquilani just to save money, then i would want our club to stop being too damn caring about veterans and get rid of them !!! i hate to say this yet again but if aquilani dont stay, ambrosini gattuso seedorf zambrotta, they dont deserve to stay either. these guys havent played at all, and yet they earn more than nesta, they earn more than aquilani, even more than kevin prince boateng....
those wasted wages can be put into very good use ....
lets wait and see, and lets hope directors do the right thing this summer. i hope those articles that we are reading these days arent 100% true.
it still is shellshocking that, aquilani hasnt played. if that was decision from board not to play him.. then i would very much like to apologize my fellow milan posters here for venting my frustation on allegri so called 3 man defensive oriented tactics.
if not then hahaha we can question allegri stance a bit haha. cheers. please give ur thoughts anytime.. we need to support aquilani here.
as for aquilani, well he did ok for us, i think we all are satisfied enough for him to stay in milan. that he was injured too and we havent seen the best of him and we would have if allegri had played him.
besides this guy made a huge economic sacrifice .. think he earnt like 4-4.5 million in liverpool.. maybe arquitecto can enlighten a bit about his yearly salary at liverpool, but think i remember reading article that aquilani had accepted to less than half of what he would earn in liverpool to play for us. plus one of the most proudest moment we fans could hear from him was that he said playing for milan is the best thing that happen to his career after roma and that he would do his upmost best. and his sole motivation for doing well for us was also to get selected for euro, and there was no question he would do well, he wanted to impress milan he wanted to impress prandelli. enough motivte for him to work hard and do well. and our club is acting really stupid and butchering his feelings. im not liking it at all.

Re: Should we buy aquilani?
So it was ok for Juve to send him back to Liverpool, but not for us?Its easy for us to sit behind the computer and say what should milan do,he practices with the team and if he is good enough Milan would keep him. His performance was a mixed bag ,with bunch of injuries . is it worth it for Milan to keep the player?thats the thing that the board will decide.
