Actually these statistics are good for CBs and matter in a system where we use 2 ball playing CBs

I personally don't like Pepes hoofing habit so Varane is better in that aspect imo.

Scoring and assisting for a CB is not necessary, but it is always a bonus.

it just seems like you are trying to push this whole varane agenda. and by showing scoring and assist stats imo is not really helping your point because they are completely irrelevant.

What varane agenda, you are making stuff, the only reason i posted that was as a fun fact, to see who is effective in heading and long ball assisting, in other words, our best ball playing cb's.

Great game from Varane, was a bit fault of the first goal, but he was composed in rest of the game. Hes tackling is so good btw, and passing is so Xabi alike.

Definitely think he can be better than Blanc, he's commited to defense so much earlier in his career, as Mou said he's better physically.

I like what Mou's doing with Varane thus far, next year he'll more than likely become a rotation player rather than a "give playing time every now and again player"

By the way: do you guys think Varane is worthy of a Euro 2012 call up? I think so, even if he doesnt get any minutes. hes been impressive in the games he's played

Would be a nice back up player to have for Blanc, and his defense isnt exactly solid to begin with

I really want to see him featuring in more games upcoming season. I think his already matured and can only get better by this day on. Varane-Ramos partnership would be perfect for us in 2 years.

For a tall kid, he movement is so agile, balanced fast, combine that with natural defending and a good head on the shoulders.

He just really need to play more, its just his luck that mou is the coach.

mourinho is realistic.. varane got quite a few appearances this year tbh considering his age and the fact that this is real madrid.

throwing him in the deep end could have been detrimental to his confidence which is very important to keep up at this stage in his development.

playing with a team of real madrid's caliber is helping enough, playing time will come as it already has but he will get more and more.

i wont have done any hard if he played the last match, or few other matches against useless teams, infact, he wouldve got more used to la liga.

there is simply no excuse that mou perfered caravlho/albiol to get more minutes.

carvalho- 12 starts, 13 total appearances, 1105 minutes
albiol- 8 starts, 17 total appearances, 1010 minutes

what, really, all i saw was albiol playing against better teams, he was the one who came as a sub when something happened. u can check who played against who at the transfermarket website.

i didnt really have any point, you are making a big deal out of nothing, all i said was he didnt really got the gametime i wanted him to have.

if we had 2 backup cb's, it would have been better.

Next season i want him to at least get 2000-2500 min.
