Why so much Pepe hate?

People think that just because they see or hear about Pepe's bad antics or alleged thuggish behaviour, that this automatically makes him a bad defender. Strange, it seems to be mostly EPL fans who rarely watch him have it in their mind that Pepe is a substandard defender.

Why can't people separate on-pitch persona from actual ability? Pepe isn't a likeable guy, but he remains a World Class defender and the babysitter of the Real Madrid's defence. He is Madrid's best defender, though that might change in a year or 2 with the development of Varane.

I can't help but find it laughable how people who never watch Pepe write him off as a substandard defender seemingly because he tepped on someone's hand...

1 Ramos is better than him 2 hes not world class.good-=/= world class.i can name at least 5 better cbs than him

And how many more Ramos errors will Pepe mop up before the season's finished?

Why would someone who claims to be a Madrid fan join in with the bashing of one of our key players? Bashing that was whipped up by Barcelona and transmitted to England and the rest of the World via pro-Barcelona media? The word PLASTIC comes to mind.

pepe is world class or at least border line world class. people often get influenced by his stupid antics and automatically categorise him . stupid impression formation n all..

I'm not bashing anyone. i just think Pepe is not Madrid's best defender. i even consider Varane to be better than Pepe but that's just me.

Barzagli? Howedes (LOL) kompany after 1 good season? Nesta is a MAJOR great bu the guys like 36 and hardly plays.

Why would a Real Madrid fan who actually watches Real Madrid games make such a claim?

Ramos is in every way the key element of our defense.

He organizes the defense,most importantly the highline (which Pepe sometimes ignores and costs us goals) and furthermore has been beter than Pepe inddividually this season.

Newsflash, if you ignore the highline and stay 30 ft behind the play there's going to be errors to mop up..........

chiellini is a CB,he only played a few games as LB.A lot of mistakes?the only one i can remember is vs arsenal.Nesta spent 2012 injured,he has been great.

yes, nesta is great, but pepe has been a presence throughout the season

Bar Silva, i have no reason to put any of them ahead of Pepe. He has been rock solid.

There is a consistency factor as well.

People decide to hate on what he does wrong, which are for example some tackles, some decisions, his anger.

He does things people don't like to be honest, and he deserves to get hate for it, hed be a much better defender if he concentrated on fixing his negatives, if he is doing it but its not working then too bad.

Dont know why you would then go on to compare him to other defenders, without using proper arguments btw.
