Yeah, it's £90k per week but bonuses and clauses and all that jazz bumps it up to £120k per week.

But hey, I'm not too bothered by that. Top players need top wages. Van Persie, should he sign an extension, will get more than that. That's just how football is.

But seriously i was just shocked by the amount of money seeing as Cesc was on less than what Podolski is going to get no?

Cesc was on £110k p/w when he left, so I guess you could Podolski will get more.

I think it's a change in structure, though. Mertesacker was signed on £80k p/w, and Arteta as well I think, and that puts both of them right in the top bracket of earners at the club. We're trying to get rid of a lot of dead weight players on high wages, too. So I assume when we do, the wages will be spent on Podolski and renewing the contracts of Song (about to get £75k), Walcott and van Persie.

Incidentally, I believe the low transfer fee for Podolski will help us pay him more in wages, since they come out of the same budget. If we assume the contract length to be four years, we'd be paying about £30mil for him.

And on the 7th day, Godolski demanded to be the highest earner at the club. And thus it was

So i suppose that will free alot of space in the wage budget and about Song getting 75k he deserves every single penny, top player i really like him as you have might have noticed.
