El Athletic dispondrá de poco más de 24 horas para preparar su visita al Camp Nou. La LFP ha programado su partido frente al Barcelona para el sábado 31 de marzo, a las 22 horas. La noche del jueves tiene compromiso europeo en Alemania.

La decisión final complicaba el calendario de cualquiera de los dos equipos para la jornada 31. El Barcelona prefería jugar el sábado para tener tiempo de recuperación suficiente para preparar la vuelta de cuartos de la Champions League ante el Milan, el martes 3 de abril.

En cambio, el Athletic jugará en el campo del Schalke 04 el jueves 29 de marzo, a las 21.05 horas, la ida de cuartos de la Europa League, por lo que apenas tendrá un día y medio de descanso.

They're in a tough spot. Play it on Sunday and Barca are screwed and the fans will say that they're benefiting Madrid, play it on Saturday and Bilbao are screwed.

Chances are Bilbao will play a B string team anyway, whereas Barca are the ones that can't afford to lose any points regardless of the competition.

May is quite empty for both teams, even if they reach the finals in CL/Europa, so schedule "is already full" is a poor excuse.
