Can you just imagine how long it will take Cassano to get back in form again if he even returns? I remember all the talk about how he had to lose a couple of pounds way into the season, but now he is supposedly pretty ill. So we have Robinho, just arriving from injury, Cassano out, Pato out, and Superpippo not in the CL squad.

This should force us to shop for another attacker in January, like Hazard etc. Eriksen we should go for anyway.

apparently both inter and us made an offer for hazard last tw. Also, now hazard is open to moving from Lille in January

also, Cassano may be able to make a full recovery. as i said earlier, it was a transient ischemic attack, by definition lasting only 24hrs or less, not a stroke which lasts longer than that

this is true, but we could use both, e.g...

Pato - Ibra -Hazard

Boateng - Eriksen - Aquilani

downside is that both are cup-tied, anyway, playing 'dream team' at this stage of the season seems meaningless

those are extremely offensive players...and seriously,Allegri is never going to change the formation,we won a scudetto and have been doing well with it.I also dont see allegri getting boateng off the AM position.

Yeah, that formation is a bit over the top, but I can't help but think that those players would've destroyed BATE.

we would have destroyed bate with Pato or a decent AM.

Ibra needs a finisher next to him.he is our most creative player

Robinho missed some great chances, as much as I like the guy for his pace, passing and movement, his finishing leaves a lot to be desired. Pato would've bagged them easily.

Ideally el Shaarawy should be developed as an attacking midfielder rather than a second striker, however at the very least until January he should be included as a second striker in our rotation when Pato is unavailable and when Boateng is suspended every three or so games he can take a spot behind the strikers.

This current run of games we are on was meant to be the platform to build momentum for the scudetto challenge when those around us have to deal with some very tough fixtures, so it's disappointing that we've lost a player who cuts this sort of opposition to ribbons in his sleep, however we still have a fantastic forward line and I'm looking forward to seeing el Shaarawy get more time. If the Pharoah performs well then I wouldn't search for a January replacement, unless there is a transfer we were interested in previously and would have purused regardless of the situation.

Though i'm praying Il Faroane kicks it up a gear,
Milan should definitely be considering a January reinforcement

When we heard Flamini would be out for months we moved for Nocerino and same should be done come January, there are few (arguably none) who can fill the Cassano-shaped void in our squad selection now

I would just be happy he is returning, it is a pretty serious injury, rare one for a footballer too.

Allegri seems to prefer El Shaaraway as a second striker, which may be a mistake as it will hinder his development as an AM. Galliani calls him Kaka's heir, but Allegri will not want such an attacking player in his midfield. Boateng looks like he will be there for a while. I hope Allegri can change his tactics to allow a more creative player in the AM spot. El Shaaraway can well be the man in years ahead.

I completely agree. Plus, we technically still have Inzaghi as well. Why extend his contract for another yr if we had no intention of giving him any chance to play? We still have enough forwards... Lets just see how they do leading into the new year.

Boateng occupies the spot behind the strikers because of his shooting skills, which are outstanding atm. The problem is, its not that often that he gets into a position to shoot during a game, but when he does, well, we all know what happens..
