Real Madrid = screwed

How would you line-up what's left of the Real Madrid team?

Marcelo is out for 3 months
Coentrao is out for 1 month
Arbeloa is out for 2-3 weeks
Benzema is tbd

Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Higuain also had some minor knocks.

Same problem as Barcelona we coped fine lets see if you can.

Ramos will probably move to RB, with Varane and Pepe in the middle.

Benz also said it was nothing muscular... just a knock. At most, he misses one game. But higuain and him will compare knocks and see who's better this weekend lol.

as far as our back four, well wtf. Albiol and Carvalho can't play fullback. I don't like changing our defensive shape becaus it's not that easy to do... so the 3 CB - 2 wingback setup is not preferable.

Personally, i'd give Nacho a shot at lb and play Ramos-Pepe-Varane-Nacho. I don't think Essien is able to play LB, or i'd put him there. We actually miss Lass lol.

CR7 typically only plays defense in big CL games or barca. He really needs to make a consistent effort now.

i know it's mot really Mou's style... but it would be nice to focus on possession a bit to protect the defense. We can afford to be less direct.

Pepe will be alright. We play Vigo at home. I'd try Di Maria as leftwingback:

We'll do just fine. The lineup is trimmed for possession/ control. Oh yeah, keep Kaka away from the lineup as far as possible.

I thought Ramos took a knock in the previous game (Belarus in which Albiol replaced him). Players with minor knocks will probably play as you can't afford another slip up at this stage of the league...

Khedira will be out for a couple weeks.

The injuries themselves are not the issue... it's that all 3 of our fullbacks got injured and all 3 for at least a month imo. Khedira has plenty of cover.

So it forces Ramos wide and we're still a fullback short.

Other than that, the rest can be handled.

Well you'll be just fine. Not long ago you were bragging of having one of great squads in terms of depth. It is not as if your complete back-line starters were injured and had to play a team of Barca's calibre for instance, like some teams did .

essien couldnt get near chelseas XI but now is centre stage for RM

We have had Tiote, Cabaye, Coloccini, Taylor, Krul, Simpson all out at weeks at a time this season and we don't have a squad of 6 clubs

Would be funny if Marcelo loses his spot to Coentrao

You play against Celta, you'll be fine. Then Dortmund (known CL flops) and Mallorca, but Ronaldo, Pepe and Higgy should be back by then. You only really have a LB problem.
