Fabrice Muamba's condition is "critically ill". Thoughts with him and his family.

Re: Thoughts with Muamba
Hope he gets well as soon as possible.
He grew up at Arsenal, very much our own. He is a warrior, great strength and determination to fight for his life.
Cant wait to see him back playing football, even if it takes months

Re: Thoughts with Muamba
I wasn't sure what was happening at first. All I saw were medics on the field and players looking worried, so I thought it was a really bad injury or something like that. I didn't expect to hear that he need to be resucitated.
Doesn't matter who it is or where he comes from, seeing someone collapse on the field and be on the verge of death is genuinely distressing. For a while it didn't seem good, but it's excellent news that he's now stable. Hopefully now he will recover.
Thoughts are definitely with him and his friends and family.

During the Tottenham/Bolton FA Cup tie earlier, Fabrice Muamba - the Bolton midfielder - suddenly collapsed on the pitch. The physios and doctors tried to resucitate him with CPR and a defibrilator but weren't successful. Muamba left the stadium still not breathing, but they had managed to get him breathing again on the way to the hospital.
He's now in Intesive Care and is "critically ill" having suffered a heart attack.
The Spurs/Bolton game was abandoned.

Re: Thoughts with Muamba
boss Owen Coyle told Sky News: 'Fabrice is critically ill. The next 24 hours are going to be absolutely crucial.'
He continued: 'We've obviously been inundated with people wishing him well and we hope that if everybody can pray strongly tonight that Fabrice is able to recover.

Muamba suffered cardiac arrest
The London Chest Hospital have confirmed that Bolton's Fabrice Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest during the FA Cup clash with Tottenham on Saturday.
The 23-year-old is anaesthetised in intensive care after he collapsed during the quarter-final at White Hart Lane, which was abandoned due to the incident shortly before half-time.
In a joint statement from the hospital and Bolton Wanderers, it was confirmed that he remained in critical condition after he suffered a cardiac arrest.
The statement read: "Fabrice Muamba remains in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Centre at The London Chest Hospital.
"He was admitted to the hospital yesterday evening after collapsing at White Hart Lane, where he sustained a cardiac arrest during the FA Cup Quarter Final against Tottenham Hotspur.
"Fabrice received prolonged resuscitation at the ground and on route to The London Chest Hospital, where his heart eventually started working. As is normal medical practice, Fabrice remains anaesthetised in intensive care and will be for at least 24 hours.
"His condition continues to be closely monitored by the cardiac specialists at the hospital."
