Can't believe hardly anyone mentioned Cruyff... I saw him play once lol, but it was a charity match and he was already 60.

I was thinking the same thing, but I was certain when I saw an Ajax fan post here that you'd mention him.

I wish I saw live stars from the 70s and 80s, especially the 74 Poland national team, they had some great players like Grzegorz Lato, Tomaszewski, and Zbigniew Boniek who played for Juventus!

Personally I would have loved to have seen Brian Clough play. He was a great manager and had a certain aura about him. Top personality. Kinda like a Jose from back in the day.

Also seemed to be a great footballer scoring 251 goals in 274 appearences.

A substantial amount of Maradona's footage is available. Actually, this goes for pretty much every player from the mid 70's on.

Puskas in Hungary in his Prime, Di Stefano with River Plate in his prime, Pele with Santos in his prime.

I've seen most legends play on tape the thrill of a live event os very different though.

Yeah you can always appreciate the skill of people like the Kaiser on tape, but that still doesn't give you the excitement of watching a live broadcast where you just don't know what's going to happen...

Der Kaiser was classy as hell on the ball. In an age of heavier balls and heavier tackles as well this is especially impressive.
