Best position? It doesnt really matter, he can play excellently anywhere.

In the future and now, I expect him to be used in the position the team need most based on form, injuries and so on.

Not really. He can play anywhere in midfield or even on one of the wings, all that means is he can play more positions.

Obviously, the majority will come in midfield, central midfield.

Being able to play more than one position never seemed to hurt Luis Enrique one bit...in fact, it was a fantastic plus.

I really like him when he plays as a winger, prefer him to Cuenca at least. Obviously his best position in the Barca system is CM though

A CM right....but what type.Dictates tempo circa Xavi or weaves into space and a bit more direct circa Iniesta.I'm trying to guage exactly what he's best at....he dosen't seem like the type who wants to play as far advanced as Silva...and by extension Iniesta for Spain.

Haven't seen enough of him TBH.What about Next to Busquets in the pivot?

Thiago is Thiago, doesnt need to be like any specific player. Let him do his thing in his own way, seems to be working great now.

He can do alot of everything, even defend and win headers.

He played as a winger, so I dont get why you say he wouldnt want to play as far forward as Silva. He has shown an eye for goal too.

He made ONE silly turnover.

He defended well, got stuck into challanges.

Missed a great chance on his left, he would of buried the game if he stuck that away.

well it wasnt a stupid shot, but it was a really bad miss to not even hit the target

It was poor and the result was giving the opponent the ball, it is essentially a turnover unless you want to be extremely pedantic

He was not uncomposed.Watch the game again.He did one backheel when he thought Iniesta was behind him but actually Iniesta had dropped off.
Other than that he was composed.

He did a backheel which clipped his other foot and fell short of its target and missed that one chance on his left foot...didnt do anything else wrong.

On the plus side, he worked hard defensively and made a decent tackle or two.

It was a game where there really isnt anything to take from it, barely worth a mention.

Just for clarification is turnover a football stat?

I'm going by an entirely different set of rules here where once you put it out of bounds it's a turnover.

Turnover as far as I was aware is a loss of possession to the other side, but I imagine shots, goals and offsides do not count as such in football.
