What Remains is Hope.
I don't know about you guys, or Wenger, but i don't see an Epic Comeback tomorrow night. It's true that Impossible is nothing, and there are numerous examples out there which can confirm it, but i just don't see a 5-0 win against A side which are dominating the Serie A and will probably end up Winning the Serie A 2nd time in a row.
So where does that leave us ? Wenger has been positive in the past few days, and he he should be, as well us all the fans. He also believes a comeback is possible, He said we will have a go and even if we go a goal down, we will still gamble and attack attack attack.
It's had to imagine what kind of game that will be. Probably a great sight for the neutrals. And if, somehow we do manage an impossible comeback. That will go down as the best European Night for Arsenal, ever.
Milan are more than comfortable in this tie. They might as well sit back all game and focus on keeping the massive 4-0 lead. However they will be looking for an away goal as well, just to be more than safe. They have been scoring goals for fun in Serie A, Specially with the Great form of Robinho and the emergence of El Shaarawy.
Arsenal's home record in the CL is amazing, specially against the Non english Opponent. Last time we lost was sometime in 2002. Even the mighty barcelona couldnt beat us after playing us twice. I would be really happy if we win. A 3-0 win would be excellent imo. As long as we dont embarrass ourselves again. It will be a good match.
Team News
Arsenal's long injury list extended even more after the liverpool game. Gibbs is doubtful, Benayoun is out, diaby is out, While half the team is on the verge of fatigue.
With Milan it's not all confirmed but Boateng will be out, Abate is doubtful, Aquilani might play, Pato is out and Ambrosini is suspended i think.

Re: Arsenal vs AC Milan [Champions League 2nd leg]
nice game preview RG.
We have good scoreline advantage, but we have bad history in CL that many clubs have made a comeback from deficit and also our club, our players, even the ones who were not previously involved *ibra van bommel ... are perfectly aware that milan had won big but then fallen badly. actually van bommel during his PSV time perfectly knows this because of PSV Milan semi-final where PSV nearly made a comeback. milan fans are perfectly aware of Deportivo night, or the Istanbul liverpool comeback.
so this tie is not over yet, not for milan. so well i think this game is very much alive and we need to keep focus.
im nervous as much as i was before the first leg. i wont take anything for granted. arsenal are very much alive in this tie. all i can say is our team keep focus concentration not concede.
btw i think emanuelson will start for us as AM with el sharawwy making second half appearance i guess. on LB... antonini will probably start but we hope mesbah starts instead. aquilani has made it, he will start but our bench reserves for midfielders are really thin, with youngsters, calvano and cristante with no first team experience, there might be chance if in case there is emergency... thiago silva might play in midfield, *just incase... or our fullbacks.. zambrotta, antonini or mesbah might play as midfielders.
maybe allegri will have full faith in youngsters..
tough game for us... so many injuries...

We know we can put a better performance in and you can tell Milan that tomorrow we will play on a football pitch, a real football pitch."

Great job RG.
I think we will be playing for pride as long as we win I would be happy would love to put 5 goals pass them but it will be really hard.
If Djourou starts we will lose the game bad. :lol!:

If both teams are playing like they are playing in recent games, you can bet on one hell of a game.

good because, in serie a we have been so much used to playing at rough pitch and evidently that makes our life difficult everyday. it would be nice to enjoy some good football in some smooth green pasture because we dont get that luxury in weekend football lol ... no worries mate

I think we'll win, but won't overcome the 4 goal deficit.
But hey, you never know which Arsenal will show up. Maybe we'll go god-mode

Is that what the players did before the game party on the field with Inter players?

yes we smoked weed off the ground and became high for the previous leg. u can see it from ibra celebration after the goal.
fortunately weed had positive effect on us, negative effect on inter players, so its all good

Re: Arsenal vs AC Milan [Champions League 2nd leg]
I hope we start park and make OX the super sub. we should play with 3 defenders we have to score goals and Milan dont really attack form the wings so we dont really need 2 fullbacks.
LOL, I have a felling Milan players are giving the wrong weed to Inter players.

Re: Arsenal vs AC Milan [Champions League 2nd leg]
I've a funny feeling we'll play 4-4-2. Wenger was talking about possibly changing the shape to help us score goals. So we may be surprised.
It would be a logical thing to do, since Song and Rosicky are our only fit central midfilders. Apparently Oguzhan Ozyakup is going to be on the bench, too.
I'd be tempted to go with:
Honestly, I'm not thinking about a comeback. If we score two early goals I may start believing, but all I'm really concerned about is a good performance and a win to keep our run going.

Re: Arsenal vs AC Milan [Champions League 2nd leg]
Lets just play 3-3-4 AND FINISH THIS!!
lol
But really i think 3-4-3 Would be pretty good as they lack wingers but it would make our fullbacks ineffective

Re: Arsenal vs AC Milan [Champions League 2nd leg]
There is no midfield.
Arteta...head injury. Not due back till newcatle.
Rosicky ...groin ...had too many (w)hores.
Ramsey ...out
Diaby...Out again...again
Jack ...waiting for the end of the season game
le Coq...gone limp
Frimpong...fimponged himself
That leaves Song.
young Ozzy may have to start
