Although I know Busquets has played the Xavi role on a couple of different occasions, and played very well. I prefer Busquets in his spot until Xavi retires, but once Xavi does, I would like to see if Busquets can fill that spot, honestly.

Maybe the cesc idea was bad but Xavi will not last forever we need to start finding out who can fill his role hopefully Tito experiments more.

I think if someone is to fill Bussi's role in case he switches to Xavi's position, it should be Thiago. Other possibility is prepare Song early on.

Why would you bother doing that though? Busi is a much better DM than Thiago, and Thiago is probably a better CM.

...later on, but a few of Busi's best qualities are suited for the DM position. Interceptions, starting plays etc. All because he is at the base of the midfield. I don't really see a reason to move him. Thiago can replace Xavi, then its a matter of seeing if Cesc fits, Rafinha or Roberto come good... or buying one of the many talented AMs on the market.

Unlike CB... there are many players out there who I think could fill that role in the future.

Another great performance against Madrid.Just goes from strength to strength.Has become a very good passer with his left foot.His passes this season have been a lot more penetrative than usual.Passing between the lines has been just sublime.
He has also talked about improving his shooting.
He has climbed very quickly up my favorite list.

Xavi has this thing of able to keep his cool that only few players seem to have one being Sergio Busquets, which is why I believe he can cover Xavi's role (obviously not as good) Sergio is a very creative player who has proved that when he is moved more forward.

What the hell is this crap about a 2 match ban? He didn't even deserve a yellow card let alone a red card and a 2 match ban. And they call us UEFAlona...

If he improves his shooting he will become much more of a force to reckon with. Teams will start paying more attention to him which leaves other people less marked.

I know, but let's be honest CBarca, wouldn't it be better if he was at the edge of the box and the opposition have to fear a shot instead of knowing it will go into row Z?

Of course, I'm not saying he should take 40 yard shots, I'm just saying that he would have another tool added.

You misunderstand me, I'm not saying he shouldn't shoot, I'm just having fun poking a jab at Busquets, that jab being that while he might have learned to shoot, first he needs to get into shooting positions, and then take a shot for that to be a threat

He hardly does any of those. Although I would love it if he did, he's already amazingly complete.

Bussi getting the respect he deserves

His past diving antics clouds his true ability for most people who can't see past it saidly. I've always rated busquets very highly.. Another case of a player being misunderstood..

I have not seen Busquets dive in ages honestly and him faking injuries are considerably more rare too.

I dont know what has happened but I rarely see any antics from him this season.
