But to be fair there really isn't a need for him to be crazy fast due to his style of play is the opposite.

He dosen't have great early acceleration, but when he gets into it he's pretty fast.

benz has good acceleration when the timing right, and he can beat a lot of defenders including fullbacks in a sprint for the ball imo

I didn't say anywhere that he' slow I just said he isn't crazy fast by the reactions of some. His real asset is his speed with the ball at his feet and the control at the same time. Defenders don't know how to react then eco smile

i have never really seen him run with full pace or great acceleration though

most of the times he gets to the ball easily and looks very comfortable without having to use pace or anything..

I haven't seen his speed in years. Thought he lost it after he came to Madrid and gained some weight. Now that he's finally found his form here, he might get it back. His acceleration used to be good, as well.

I remember that the German CBs all got measured, and they all clocked in at over 30kph with Badstuber being the slowest at 31kph and Boateng and Höwedes being the fastest at around 34kph.

So 28kph isn't really good. But before you tear my face of, it's just top speed. Acceleration and the speed with the ball at your feet are both much more important stats.

It's top speed. You almost never reach your top speed on your pitch because the distance you neet to accelerate to your top speed is longer than you'll usually run, except when you're a defender and trying to outrun a counter-attack.

there is no such a player with that speed.Cristiano Ronaldo was the fastest in 2009 and he maxed 33,6 (km/hour).
BTW,i don't eat cheerios..just couple of scrambled eggs with cream in the morning.
