Team tactics were he not press, so he didnt.

He didnt connect with players in front of him? Milan outnumber them in the center of the pitch and did just enough pressing to make it difficult.

He isnt Xavi, Iniesta or even Wilshere, someone who is going to turn out of pressure and play in tight space.

This thread is exactly the kind people moan about, utter kneejerk blaming one player who only did what his talent can produce given the situation.

He is defensively not good noeugh to be CM for Arsenal. You guys play 4-2-3-1 often. The two midfielders should be able to defend and spray balls

when he's with us RvP doesn't do really do much of a #10 role at all. I dont think Wenger wants us to have a pure dm though really. it seems like he wants an AM and then to do-it-all box2box guys (Song and wilshere at 1st pick) behind the AM. it could work, but idk we'll have to see.


we're so set in midfield, we shouldnt have to buy another midfielder for 2 years unless we want a top flight AM. even chambo's an option there..
