This article doesn't say too much about the present time. The problem was very simple before. We NEVER took the academy seriously because back in those days our current old players were in their prime and there was still money to be wildly spent and therefore there was zero emphasize on bringing young players forward.

Now it's very different. Now the club is placing a HUGE emphasize on bringing up young players and they are taking their development seriously by loaning them into places which would see them be able to be assessed after they kick a ball, one of the complaints of the article. Examples are Bruma, Aanholt, McEachran and even Kakuta.

And anyways, I could care less if the players we seem to care more about are young players which we buy mostly for around 5m pounds, since they and the players from the academy require development and would help us stop spending 20m pounds on every player.
