He was hardly a youth product.

He's not our product, but we have a policy of buying others' talents for cheap with the intention of building for the future after it was realized our academy is crap. But that is never possible when there is money available.

Our academy is not crap. In a few years it will do much better imo.

RLC, Chalobah, Ake, Feruz are all players who can become fantastic in the future.

The buying of young players was a great way to ensure the future or make some money.

They will probably end up like McEachran, no matter how talented. Again, as long as the money is available at this club no one is going to take under-21s who just cost a couple of millions seriously. This is why hopefully FFP forces clubs to be self-sustainable and do things fairly. I really like the Arsenal model (yes you can go on about how they haven't won a trophy but they also have had other problems to deal with, such as clubs who spend above their limits), although I don't have enough information to make a judgement.

A. Everyone knows we got him for dirt cheap
B. He's a marginal bench-player at best - automatically reduces what any club will offer for him
C. He's not WORTH £20m...

There's the program in full. Haven't seen it myself yet but the one with Torres, Juan and Azpi last year was quite good so I'm looking forward to watching it

I'd rather loan him and see him do well in the WC tbh.

IMO one of Mata or De Bruyne should be playing most games. Their set-piece deliveries are way better than anyone else. With Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic we could be scoring a set piece most games.
