Quick thread about the future Empty Quick thread about the future

Post by Kick Mon Jan 30, 2012 5:40 pm

I was just going to put down our current youth players who I think has a future at the club.

GKs: Courtois, Blackman, Walker, Talyer.
The first two are most likely going to be our replacements for Cech with the others as back ups or they will be sold.

RB: Kane, B. Clifford, Hutchinson.
Not much here, they are decent but I don't think they are sure starters maybe back ups. Still an issue once Ivanovic retires.

CB: Bruma, Kalas, Chalobah and Ake + others.
We have many CB's so there is no worries here, Cahill and Luiz are not old and Bruma and Kalas are knocking on the door already, I cannot wait to see who are CB pairing will be in the future.

LB: Van Aanholt, Bertrand and Gordon.
Bertrand is our current no.2 but with a succesfull loan spell PVA could jump into our starting LB spot within a year or 2. Young Ben Gordon is an ouside shot for the starting spot. No need for purchases here for the next 5-10 years.

DM: Romeu, Chalobah, Saville.
I am not too sure of any others but by Romeu's preformences I doubt we need anyone else. However, Chalobah is very good in DM and if he can't get a place in CB he can always pressure Romeu for DM.

CM: McEachran, C.Clifford, Mellis.
Obvious choice is obvious. Other two could be decent back ups.

AM: Piazon, Davila, Kakuta, De Bruyne, Torres.
Class here, cannot wait for these players to get a bit older. These guys can also play on the wing so versitility here as well. No need for improvement if we are patient. I would rather us buy Sneijder as he is in his prime and will leave when these guys are ready or we could just Play Fernando there.

RM/RW: Sturridge, Lalkovic, Davila, De Bruyne.
More class, however, Sturridge might end up in CF if Lukaku fails. If not, Sturridge is a sure starter, if he moves to CF we might need a RW, Hazard anyone?

LM/LW: Piazon, De Bruyne, Kakuta, Bertrand/Van Aanholt.
I have decided not to include Mata as his inclusion would mean the inclusion of DL4 and Ramires which makes things trickey. The inclusion of De Bruyne means this area is pretty strong, we should be good in this area for a while as long as De Bruyne and Kakuta improve accordingly.

CF: Lukaku, Sturridge.
Lukaku is on the path to become class and Sturridge is almost there so not much to worry about, maybe in need of a backup but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

All in all, RB remains a problem but as long as our youth keep improving I have the utmost faith in them. The team seems perfect set up for 4-2-3-1 or even a 4-4-2. Of course we will make changes but as long as we promote the youth we won't have a problem with FFP.

Possible formations:
Courtois
Kane Bruma Chalobah Van Aanholt
Romeu McEachran
Sturridge Piazon De Bruyne
Lukaku

Or

Courtois
Kane Kalas Chalobah Bertrand
De Bruyne Romeu McEachran Piazon
Sturridge Lukaku

Or with current players
Courtois
Ivanovic Luiz Chalobah Van Aanholt
Romeu McEachran
Sturridge Mata De Bruyne
Lukaku

Or

Courtois
Kane Luiz Bruma Bertrand
Ramires Romeu McEachran Mata
Sturridge Lukaku

Anyone I missed? Thoughts?

True. I hope Mars doesn't believe those formations would once come to be true because he'll be disappointed Razz

Kalas might be best suited to RB.

Lukaku is nothing like Drogba, I expected him to be the new Lukaku, also, I think he would work better with Sturridge by his side but that is just me.

I only expected a few of these guys to make it so the last two formations.

Courtois, Bruma, Kalas, Romeu, mcEachran and Sturridge are close to making it and IMO, Lukaku, Chalobah, Piazon, PVA and Blackman are destined for it.

I know I was guilty of it, but don't get ahead of yourself. While these guys are quality talents, anything can happen in the future. BTW how are Blackman and Courtois both going to make it? Razz

More than one club in the world.

Honestly, I know its a long shot but I hold hope these players will make it, injuries could ruin their careers, even someone like Sturridge's.

I have faith in the club to do the right thing and get these players to where they neeed to be.

I personally think a lot of them will be good in the future, but obviously not with Chelsea.

If we get most of these kids playing at top leagues, then i think we did our job. Unfortunately i don't think anything is going to change at Chelsea, i doubt more then 2-3 will make it.

Talent and hard work is not rewarded at Chelsea, you only play based on your transfer fee. Look at Piazon for example, he is not even close to being the best youth player at Chelsea but he is surely going to get his chance before the players who deserve it.

Piazon has been class for the reserves, who deserves it more than him?
Chalobah?

The only name I can think of, Lukaku cost more and the rest are worse or on loan.

Lalkovic obviously, Piazon has been decent but nothing amazing.

I don't think the club Rates Lalkovic high enough for the spot, sad really.

Isn't Piazon younger anyway?

It is possible for him to go on a loan, he apparently has hinted on his twitter that a loan deal is likely by tonight.

Courtois bossed last night against Osasuna, he saved the 0-1 (specially in second half) hope he replaces Cech as soon as possible (we have to admit he has been disappointing this season) while for the rest, we have a young squad, Luiz and Cahill are 24 yo, v.anholt and bertrand haven't even 20 years yet, and a RB is a must to buy even for the present (VAN DER WIEL PLEASE.) For the midfield we are fine with Ramires Romeu and Josh aren't we?And our attack is young too plus we are buying someone, any news on Hazard De Bruyne and Willian? D:

As much as i agree with the last part, I have to disagree as well. Piazon has been good and he has shown enough promise to be one of the best. But yeah, I agree that Lalkovic should be given a chance as well. But on Piazon's part he has adapted very quickly to English football so we have to praise him on that.

Talent and hard work is the essence of football, specially hard work. All of our players are hard working cos otherwise they wouldn't have been able to reach this level they are playing.
