3 Manchester fans arrested apparently

Nothing official yet, but rumors floating around that 3 United fans have been arrested for spitting on the Hillsborough Memorial.

Disgraceful if true.

Watch this incident be quiet... protecting the Mancs "reputation" and all that. *bleep* disgusting behaviour.

I'm awaiting something official. Hope it's not true.

Apparently a fellow doing a monkey impression towards Evra... should be banned from Anfield.

And apparently United fans were singing songs about Hillsborough according to people at the game. This fixture is a mess.

That pic is actually all over twitter. Having seen it, it's difficult to imagine the intent was anything other than racist.

I'm ashamed of fans/people who think such things are ever okay.

The "spitting incident" is unbelievable. I can understand that the fixture was charged, but the Hillsborough Memorial is sacred. I don't care how vitriolic this rivalry becomes. There are certain things you don't do.

Anyone else bored at how these incidents that are caused by very few - like, less than 0.1% of the people that are present - get huge media coverage?

True as that may be such stories sell papers and bring in viewers, so we won't stop seeing them for a long while.
