Messi would have destroyed everyone in football back then. Football was nowhere near the level it is now. Look at the way Messi proves it again and again in every important match.

Pele keeps taking jabs at Messi because he is jealous of him and he knows in his mind that Messi is better than him.

If Pele played today I'd bet anything he'd have no world cups.

Pele is one of the greats, if not the greatest, and most understand that, so idk why he keeps having to repeat the fact that hes scored 1283 goals and won 3 world cups, it makes me lose respect for him everytime he says stupid stuff like that.

Laughable comment, the fact that Greece won the WC and Argentina won it in 86, means that with the rihght Tactics and a bit of luck anyone can win.

Defender will have destroyed Messi physically back then. Rule was different, attacker must be talented and very strong in 1950-60. Messi will not survive.
