Paul Scholes comes out ofretirement
Scholes approached Sir Alex Ferguson to reverse his retirement decision, which he made at the end of last season, last week and the paperwork was cleared with the FA on Friday.
The 37-year-old midfielder goes straight onto the United bench for this afternoon’s FA Cup third round tie against Manchester City.
Sir Alex Ferguson said: "It’s fantastic that Paul has made this decision. It’s always sad to see great players end their careers, but especially so when they do it early.
"But he has kept himself in great shape and I always felt that he had another season in him. It’s terrific to have him back."
Paul Scholes added: "I’ve been pretty clear since I stopped playing that I miss it. I’m delighted the manager feels I can still make a contribution to the team and I’m looking forward to playing my part in trying to bring more success to this great club.”
Respect to the guy.......I actually feel a bit ashamed for hating United as much as I do when they have guys like him and Giggs lacing up the boots every Sunday

Oh man, this is actually cool
But I don't think he's a proper solution to United's midfield issues.

Instead of spending some cash to get a proper midfielder, they insist to play one of their own players whos retired lol. Y U NO SPEND CASH MANU? I dont mind Scholes in united tho. WC midfielder imo

I don't think SAF wants to rush in terms of buying players.

Henry coming back, Scholes coming back... move aside Serie A, the EPL is the new retirement home.

Anderson is nearing full match fitness now and Cleverly is back in training too. Based on their early season performances, those two have to start. They were terrific together

An Inter fan hoping for his #10 to help others instead of their own club?
How poor has he been?

I don't see why the Sneijder rumours persist - he doesn't fit into United's system. End of

he's been injured all season and believe it or not we don't seem to need him anymore.
we got great talents rising so i was hoping we could sell him and cash out
that's my personal opinion
