Chelsea have accepted a transfer request by Alex.

I dont want to see him go to a small club, I rate him so highly but yet I dont understand why Chelsea don't play him often.

What top club do you think needs him the most....?

Alex can really add much needed quality to Bayern Munich defensive line-up considering that Van Buyten will be turning 34 in less than 6weeks and Van Buyten is really not one of the best defenders around, so he can easily fight his way to first team football and even displace Badstuber easily that is of course if our board don't keep favouring some players above other base on their nationality...

last time i saw him he was getting embarrassed by West Brom. i think shane long did him the worst too. not sure he's an ace defender anymore, but he may still be serviceable

Inter, Juve and Bayern could all use him, but he wouldn't really be a big improvement on their current CBs.

Frankly, I don't think Alex is going to be 'solving problems' anywhere. If a big club gets him, it will be for depth only. He's simply not starting XI material.

Signing Caceras and Alex for cheap would be great for Juve. It will displace Bonucci from the line up and give us a strong bench and ability for rotation with Serie A, Coppa now and quite possibly UCL next year.

Plus, he provides an added bonus in that he can score goals...

Terry, even though he's improved from a month or so ago, is not the player he used to be.

He's also quite decent in the air.

Can't make it in the starting XI infront of "useless Terry" so moves to 'club Y'.

Becomes the best CB in the world when he arrives to set 'club Y'.

Against top teams, Alex is inconsistent and his marking can be really poor.
