loooooool... are you saying marcelo doesnt deserve it but Lahm, the one who played RB last season deserves it more? :lol!:
We even are looking at the current season arent we ?
Based on only last season ,i'd still give my vote to Cole or even Evra over Marcelo. He's(cole) been quite poor this season i have to say.

Anyways, it has to be Lahm, no one even comes close. Cashley's past it, Coentrao doesn't even play, Marcelo can't defend, Evra forgets to track back etc.
Lahm who was not even at his best last season playing at RB with Marcelo being the most effective left back last season voted champions league best left back of 2010/11 and been one of the best this season minimum top 3 still does not deserve to be voted best?
Lahm is better on paper, but all bias aside Marcelo actually deserves this lol.

well thats delusion... in 2011 was marcelos improvement year and he has been really good that season. if we look back, maybe not as good. but in this voting being consistent and good throughout 2011 is all that is needed and thats exactly what marcelo has been.
cole has been meh this season, and evra is not even top 5 (current form).

Re: Goallegacy's best Left Back of 2011
Arent we making an assessment based on last season as well this season ?!?!?!
Cole indeed has been poor this season and Evra has not been all that bad imo.
Well you dont need to categorize Lahm as a RB or LB coz he's the best FULLBACK in the world along with Alves(I dont think there's much of a gap b/w the two).
And talking about consistency ,guess what ,Lahm is mr.consistency and is far more well-rounded than Marcelo.
And isnt this guy assembling a team of all these polls ?It would be really ridiculous if Lahm isnt in the lineup.
All that matters now that,Lahm is a left-back and my vote goes for him

Yeah, Marcelo was so awesome under pressure right. Anyway, not disagreeing Marcelo maybe better, but the reason you gave is not it.
To Saetablanca, the votes are so close for Lahm and Marcelo, it is only fair that there is another poll with only those two as options.. What do you think?

But what reason is there for that? Apart from the idea that the 'Marcelo haters' will all pool into Lahm just to deny him the spot, there is nothing it would change. In fact, this is better because it shows who we think is the 3rd and 4th etc LB.
Anyway, I dont want to spam the GS with uneccessary polls.

If you want an accurate GL winner, then what i suggested is a good idea. Because all the polls will generate biased results anyway. But it is upto you.

Re: Goallegacy's best Left Back of 2011
Madrid fans are naturally all voting for Marcelo. And we have a shit load of Madrid fans.
The rest either vote for Abidal or Cole depending on who they support, and Lahm just out of Marcelo hate, although I have to admit Lahm's been meh by his standards.
This poll is kinda flawed...
