...and this one should be quite fun. There were many good LBs this year, with no real standout. You know the drill. Player with most votes takes the place in the XI, while the best runner up fullback gets to sit on the bench. The contestants:

Eric Abidal- France and Barcelona
Fabio Coentrao- Portugal and Benfica/Real Madrid
Ashley Cole- England and Chelsea
Patrice Evra- France and Manchester United
Phillip Lahm- Germany and Bayern Munich
Marcelo- Brazil and Real Madrid

*in b4 abuse from arsenal fans*

I even added an 'other' option for you, peace? Very Happy

Lahm no question, can attack AND defend.

Cash had a really good 2010 but his 2011 has been a bit inconsistent or I would have voted him (bias.com)

He did. But he's playing LB this season.

Anyways, it has to be Lahm, no one even comes close. Cashley's past it, Coentrao doesn't even play, Marcelo can't defend, Evra forgets to track back etc.

Let's be real from that list it has to be Marcelo i dont rate him that highly compare to some of you......

But Lahm played RB and average for most of the year, Cole has been average for going on 2 years, Abidal was CB for most of the time and Coentrao is just living off a decent WC performance.....

Still does'nt change my opinion on him but from that list and as far as performances in 2011 goes it has to be him.

I dont think people realise this a vote for 2011, not picking who is the best player lol.....

We even are looking at the current season arent we ?

Based on only last season ,i'd still give my vote to Cole or even Evra over Marcelo. He's(cole) been quite poor this season i have to say.
