Yes pepe has flaws and if u saw that last game I actually mentioned at half time he was one of our worst players. I've seen the bad from pepe but u know what I respect the guy , I know what we will get out of him when he plays. However it takes a true fan to look further than the piss poor crosses and failed attempts on goal to see how hard he works to make Conte's plan work, how hard he works to press, defend, cover space , mark a defender, close down opposition plays , make the defenders job a hell of alot easier. Notice how hardly anyone attacks Down our right side anymore? Not just due to lich u know.

And yes mate the offers on the table, better hope it happens soon though cause summer doesn't last forever down here !

Oh, I give credit to Pepe for what he does and I try not to judge him for not being Krasic and I really do not hold that against him but there are a lot of frustrating aspects to his game as well- the same goes for Krasic and others.

Debatable. I believe the stats show Pepe is more important/influential by the numbers, however I do think we play better with Vucinic on the field.

Pepe: 14 games, 4 goals, 1 assist, 28 shots
Vucinic: 12 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, 32 shots

So just by these numbers I would still take Vucinic only because you have players like Matri and Marchisio who already supply goals (again we are talking statistics) Vucinic's link up play is un-matched, and when Matri plays Vucinic must always play- no way around that.

It isn't one or the other so lets not take that form but in the end of the day I'd take Vucinic over Pepe in the starting 11 any day.

However, I think my point is still there if we consider all the benefits Pepe brings to the team on a daily basis that do not show up in the assits and goals stats.

Both are just as important, and I threw in Vucinic there to show that Pepe compares even to our biggest buy of the summer.

Edit: also, the stats being used are that which you judge a striker by, not so much a midfielder. But either way, both have valid arguments for and against

Vucinic should have at least 3 more goals to be fair, Pepe too- both have been unlucky or not clinical at times, whatever you'd want to call it.

Also Vucinic should have it least one more assist if this was scored like in the NHL, Vucinic with an amazing through ball to Matri, who found Pepe against Lazio. Although it does not count on the score sheet it must be acknowledge. Just using this as an example, the same goes for players like Pirlo who do not get direct assists always.

Yeah in terms of importance to build up play in the last offensive third of the pitch, Vucinic takes the cake no doubt. We could see how badly his build up play was missed last game.

Agreed thats exactly how PePe should be played, now its time for Elia to shine.

Hope Vuci finds form fast and plays the best he knows for the rest of the season, then we could be in for great things.

I'd like to piont out that someone like Marchisio in a shorter amount of time(meaning this season), has saved us more than Pepe ever done with us in the past two seasons.

The goal against Lazio this season... The credit does not go to him. Matri and Vucinic with the plays, all Pepe had to do was hit the ball in.

So he scored against Parma? Krasic scored against Catania to save us and get us the tie.

A free kick last season? Gee, I wonder how many other goals he scored instead of the other Lazio game.

Napoli? Please, all credit goes to Esti for the game saviour, sure Pepe tied the game. But Esti's goal showed that we had still a chance even after being 3-1 down, up to that point. The team's morale boosted and another goal was bound to happen, it just did with Pepe.

Actually why should he be credited for that goal when Esti was the one who brought us back into the game? Pepe scored a goal, plain and simple. As all the other players have done, take Chiellini's goal.. just a regular goal and that is just a compirason with Pepe's against Napoli. Nothing special, just a goal.

Of course Pepe was not bought for 15m, he's not worth that. He's such a bad player, he was never even worth thge 7.5m buyout clause. No wonder why Zenit offered so low for the player and yet was close to joining them.
