Lakers 2012 Empty Lakers 2012

Post by Mr Nick09 Tue Dec 06, 2011 11:18 pm

Lakers are trying a play to put their hands on either Howard or Chris Paul, or eventually BOTH, which looks pretty sick.

It's unlikely it happens, but it would look like a very powerful big 3.

pundits are talking about Gasol, Bynum and Odom being made available for trade to get any of those two or both.

Bynums the only one with any solid value, they have enough to get one of the two. There's no way in hell they get both.

he could go to knicks or nets too??

nets are moving from NJ to Brooklyn...

and plus no way does lakers have the $$ to get both isn't there a salary cap?

they would have to let go of Odom, Bynum and Gasol

I dont see how having Howard is better then Bynum, Odom and Gasol..I really dont.

Howard is obviously the best player of the bench, but who is going to play with if they trade all 3 of those guys?

Howard as great as he, cant rebound alone...look at Orlando.

I know.

But if they want CP3, Howard and Kobe...cant have any of those other 3 on the books at the same time.

Not to mention, all of those would have to be traded for them because those are the 3 most valuable peices.

I think they are going to really push for Howard, he is truly a player to build around.

The market for PG, which is a position desperately need, is piss poor.

I was hoping that Iguodala would make his way to LA tho, i really like him, but if Odom is included in a Howard deal that wont happen.

There are guys like Hill or Wilcox the lakers can try to get to bolster their roster, but moneh...

Iguodala would be perfect for LA imo. Him, Howard, Kobe a respectable point and good role players are much better then Howard, Paul, Kobe and trash.

He would give them the atheltic ability and defence they need.

Grant Hill? Could get him for a vet min, thats possible.

Something like

If somehow Odom, Howard, Kobe and Iggy can be on the same roster with some shooters they would be a problem for everyone.

Paul and Howard Laughing Even one of them will destroy salary management :lucas:

What Lakers need is a decent PG, not world class, just someone better than that piece of donkey fekalia called Blake and ageing Fisher. Bynum despite getting injured all these years is set for breakthrough season.

So new PG=challenger for the title

They would really really miss Odom in their second unit, their bench would be exposed big time.

Yh, but i think to get Odom, which is something that was talked about during the last trade window, they have to move Odom.

But yeah, Kobe, Howard, Iguodala could be amazing, solve the Defense problem inside and add athleticism on the wings.

Guys like Hill, Battier, Wilcox, even Stevenson or Belinelli are out there to help any line up.

Question is, who would go for Howard? he is a big piece. If they can move just Bynum and some irrelevant guys, then it's good, but i suspect Orlando will try to get rid of some of their big contracts as well.

They will still have to find a point tho.

It'd probably be something like Bynum + Odom for Howard + Turk I would think. Magic want to get rid of Arenas' contract but the Lakers won't have the cap to take that contract on(and I doubt they would they want to).

I love Odom, I think he is a great player.

I am the Lakers, I would do my best to keep him in all these trade moves if I could.

He can pass, shoot, rebound, defend, slash, spot up. Plays perfectly with a post player.

I would love Howard of course, but I wouldnt part with Odom to get Paul if im going to get Howard too and be left with Kobe, Paul, Howard and trash.

Its going to be very intresting to see how the moves will play out, I think one thing for sure though, if the Lakers make major moves or stand pat they will be dangerous still.

The finals are the big stage, its where the pressure is at his upmost. Part of the reason he fell apart.

I havent given up on him winning, but if im a Heat fan its Wade im looking for to really get the job done. Lebron has lost whatever element of trust people had in him for the big moments.

Fair play.

I think the Heat will win it eventually for the record, I just think it would have to be Wade doing it in the most important moments rather then Bron.

Then again, I cant be so sure untill we see how the rosters will look on opening night.

I don't want Howard...............

@Franchise Iguodala is not a good enough shooter to strtch the floor.

TBH I want Ariza back........

If we could somehow steal Nash....that's be awesome.

Pau needs to get his shit together and we're fine.It was pathetic watching Dirk lock his ass out of the low post in the playoffs................freakin pathetic.

Wade also choked at clutch moments...............Lebron's defence actually got them to the finals........Wade just had sporadic moments of great play throughout the playoffs.

However.......the choke show Lebron put on in the finals was truly remarkable.
