Bayern are on top
After losing both derbies, Bayern are suddenly on top That's real luck taht both of the 1s and 2nd faced off each other in a draw
Ribery still has it in him
Ribery still has it in him

Re: Bayern are on top
What Derbies?
Mainz is a derby? or Dortmund?
We alreadt knew it.. we had to slip sooner or later, thats good for the league though.
TBH, I don't mind finishing second or even third, to any other opponent than Dortmund... while winning the CL.
Its been a long time, but I can remember 2001 as if it was yesterday!

Re: Bayern are on top
Gomez was robbed yesterday! He could have had a hattrick, but first goal was stolen by the ref (wrong offside call), second was stolen by Ribéry and third by Robben (PK).

Re: Bayern are on top
I think Müller was offside, though. when he passed the ball to Gomez
And honestly, Robben should be the PK taker, when Schweinsteiger is not there.. Gomez can suck in PKs..

Re: Bayern are on top
Hm. It looked like a wrong call in the analysis later. And I didn't begrudge Robben the first PK - he just could have given Gomez the ball for the second one when Bayern were already 3:1 up.Geo wrote:I think Müller was offside, though. when he passed the ball to Gomez

Re: Bayern are on top
Gomez should have taken the 2nd penalty instead of Robben or at least Ribery should have taken it to complete his Hat-trick....
But good to have Robben back scoring, Man City Better prepare for what is about to hit them...
--------------Neuer---------------
Rafinha-DVB---Boateng-Lahm
--------Tymo----Gustavo--------
Robben-----Kroos--------Ribery
--------------Gomez--------------

Re: Bayern are on top
It was mighty decent of Gomez to not whine or anything a la Cristiano If Ribéry's on fire and wants to score, let the man score.
Not like Gomez is going to stop scoring anytime soon.
Robben should be 1st choice penalty taker, even ahead of Schweinsteiger. He has perfect power and placement. Gomez and Schweini either hit it too soft or don't place shots hard enough.
Strange that a Dutchman takes better pens than all the Germans, but that's life. Can't remember an outstanding PK taker since Ballack

Well, nowadays the Dutch NT play rather no-nonsense and efficiently and the German NT comparatively beautifully, tooSushi Master wrote:Strange that a Dutchman takes better pens than all the Germans, but that's life. Can't remember an outstanding PK taker since Ballack

It's how it was in the 2010 WC.babun1024 wrote:I miss the no-nonsense approach in our NT games Park the bus should be a basic...rwo power wrote:Well, nowadays the Dutch NT play rather no-nonsense and efficiently and the German NT comparatively beautifully, tooSushi Master wrote:Strange that a Dutchman takes better pens than all the Germans, but that's life. I think Loew's just trying new tactics out considering the wealth of technically impressive talent he has at his disposal. He's going a bit nuts, IMO. Calling up like 1 player every friendly and trying to give everyone as much of a chance as possible. It's gonna be hard as hell getting into that 25 man team. 3-5-2s on the fly... he's like someone in the chemistry lab going nuts and mixing everything just to see what happens

And still he is currently the most successful German NT coach in number of won matches in matches played. Quite amazing. Now he just has to win something to complete his portfolio. ^^Sushi Master wrote:I think Loew's just trying new tactics out considering the wealth of technically impressive talent he has at his disposal.
