Dragons are overrated. Icebeam the shit out of most of them and you win easily. Psychic, Ghost, Steel and Normal are the strongest bunch for me personally. Also, Kingdra is underrated (despite being a dragon). A water/dragon hybrid makes him resistant to quite a few of the elements (takes normal damage from Electric, Ice, Grass moves).

Yes, I've played Pokemon a lot during the younger days. Don't anymore though...

My first pokemon game was Poekmon Yellow and your starter is Pikachu which is the most useless thing you can possibly get given the first gym is rock and then you have to go through Mt Moon, so i always caught a pidgey and a caterpie (evolves quickly to butterfree-a psychic type) and use them to carry me to the second gym where Pikachu finaly became useful

Nah I'm a generation after you, I played Ruby first Razz

. So I got all the way up to Cycling Road I think, beat May and went back to get Flash Very Happy

.
And on my friend's Sapphire, I beat the Elite Four, catching everything with only a Poke Ball Very Happy

.
Until I got to Latias, because that stupid thing runs, so I had to use my Master Ball ==

imo Ruby/Saphire was the begining of end for Poekmon, nothing ever got close to RBY and Gold/Silver
