Chamakh and Park
Yes the latter just arrived and needs more time but he hasnt done anything on his starting apps to show me he is an ideal backup of RVP.
Chamakh... he really has to go. One of the worst strikers we ever had.
Good examples are AOX, Coquelin and Frimpong, even Miquel... they always perform well.
Lets spend over 10m on a prodigy striker.
I'll bump this thread when RVP doesnt play.

Chamakh should go, Park needs more time - he played like 3-4 games ffs.

Re: Chamakh and Park
Chamakh was one of the best striker in Ligue 1, he was a decent scorer and played very well for his team. Park was also the best player of his team.
But both were always starting in their previous clubs, they are not used to be bench players.
And if I remember correctly, Chamakh was a starter at Arsenal in the first half of last season and was scoring goals.

Re: Chamakh and Park
Goal.com sum it up well in their article on both strikers (the one about both failing the audition to be rvp's understudy)
I have no faith in either.
We MUST MUST MUST sign a top class striker in january.

I know Park has been at Arsenal only for a few months but him and Chamakh are no where near back up for RVP. We need Godoski at Arsenal.

Re: Chamakh and Park
Surely Wenger has to get a striker in January.....Chamack and Park are not good enough. At this rate i would accept Defoe or even Zamora and thats saying something

Re: Chamakh and Park
I wouldn't cash in on Park just yet. He's barely played, FFS.
Chamakh should be loaned with option to buy, in case he picks up form and wants to come back. I don't understand how he was showing these great performances then completely dropped out of the map once VP went into God mode. It was to be a confidence issue.

That might be jumping the gun a bit; Campbell has 2 goals in 10 games, which isn't bad but I don't think I'd say he is better than Park or Chamakh at this point.RedEyesWhiteBeard wrote:joel campbell is looking great for lorient this season, man i wish we had gotten that permit.
Yesterday I was annoyed with Chamakh, but I'm pretty forgiving and right now I'm not so upset because as has been said he only really scores when he is starting regularly. Also, last season when he was scoring frequently, he had a lot of service, and offensive teammates who were also on fire, like Nasri. I still don't think he's good enough for the role we want him to play (substitute for RvP), but he isn't useless, and neither is Park. However, I would very much like us to buy a top-level striker who can give us options, even if it means these guys don't get a chance.

We should be able to bring him back next year right?

I think Chamack got jammy with his run of form since Bordeaux....don't think he is an Arsenal type of player

Re: Chamakh and Park
I agree with most that it is to early to think about getting rid of Park.
Best player on a top 5 team in a top league Cool.
Best player on a relegated team. Hmm not as exciting

Re: Chamakh and Park
Park imo was just to get into the Asian market more sadly, Wenger has never really shown intention to use him in the EPL. Chamakh has no future and we need a quality forward someone who can make chances for themselves, unlike the back ups we currently have.

no question of Bendtner arising.. He is not doing anything special.. And do we need to tolerate him just because he is better than Chamakh..?

Bendtner is young. Too bad he doesn't have the patience to match his age. If he had the right attitude, he would be a top top striker by the time he is 27-28 and in peak form. For one, I'm pretty sure he is better than that Balotelli kid who is so infamous.
No point discussing him however, he doesn't want to come back to the Emirates. Time for us to get someone better.

Re: Chamakh and Park
Well Chamakh has just proved that he's not 4asn even thought he looked 2be a great choice when we signed him !
Park...why the hell we signed him 2stay "in park" or to play in field also i've heard he must leave asn anyway within 2yrs max...reason...he's definitely obliged to serve @his country army...we shouldn't sign him ..IMO

Re: Chamakh and Park
To be fair to Chamakh, he was ok against Citeh. Park didn't do anything wrong, but he struggled to get overly involved. A lot of it is purely down to rust. They both need more minutes- but RVP is on fire!
