Problem with Arbeloa is that he is rather big fail on the attack... huge fail actually.

We are really focusing on the attack with our rumored signings. Not a whole lot of defense being thrown around... interesting given that Mou is the coach.

That would be a very stupid signing then... but Mou is not stupid.

I'm not criticizing the signing because Coentrao is obviously very talented. But it's interesting that we are signing an attack-first defender, which will force either he or Marcelo to move positions. Ramos and Pepe are going to have their work cut out for them lol... so will the mids.

Shows how dry the RB market is.

Nothing wrong in having 1 attacking and fullback and one defensive. Besides, Arbeloa isn't that bad attacking wise.

Sportsczy, i think it makes sense to have two attacking full backs when you play a 433, specially if your mid 3 is a little flat. they will provide the width and the extra man in attack.

Coentrao is also a fantastic athlete, who virtually cant be beaten by pace. he is tenacious and he doesnt tire. Mourinho might be making a gamble, but he is giving himself some leeway.

I saw him defending Sanchez and he was impressive. He was also very good against argentina, until he concede a penalty at the very end because of messi lol.

no mistakes are better than one. copa del rey was longer than 90 minutes. I dont understand, who started the theory coentrao for right defender??? who, where and when? why are you so sure?
