what the hell was the point of doing this at that moment of the game when we were already qualified ?

He was solid throughout the match, bit cynical to criticize his performance in a bad manner because of one late tackle intentional or not.

Nah he was good defensively. Ideally a fullback should be good at both defending and attacking, however being good defensively is important. Especially against top teams in the CL.

Who in his right mind does a similar tackle to him in a game we are comfortably winning in a stadium with an unusually low attendance (it usually is hell there so I would forgive him if it was in that 2-2 draw honestly)???

he made 0 successful tackles on par with Ronaldo and less than everyone else and didn't add anything when attacking. I get we kept a clean sheet with him being a participant and all but I would sell him if there was a buyer even if we hadn't lined up a replacement. He does more bad than good imo better to cut our losses than keep an unhappy player against hus wishes

He's clearly not happy playing for us, we should've him sold him in the summer.

Yeah true but even when he's playing for us he shows that he's just not interested.

The sole reason he was transferred to Madrid was to make Jorge Mendes a bit richer.

 we all kow coentrao was treated like crap by the media and the fans for reasons that had nothing to do with him.

So of course he wants to leave playing or not, smh i don't know why some of you think its ok to treat players like crap because it madrid.

I don't know about media treating him like crap but i do remember that a few times fans booed him which is quite normal when you don't play well, even Ronaldo gets booed sometimes.

i'm sure i'm the exception here, but i liked coentrao. defensively, i thought him more solid than marcelo....35 million was excessive, but i liked his work rate on defense. problem is, when ure injured a lot you lose your stripes. he was injured so damn much, he makes bale seem as fit as lebron. he just had to go, we should have done away with him a while ago with all the injuries, i wish him luck

Fabio was immense for us in the run up to La Decima. I actually thought that was the end for Marcelo in the starting 11. But the man is clearly made of the most delicate human tissue & muscle that makes Savio's glass ankle look like Dwarven technology.

So Tito, you're not the only one to think he was more solid than Marcelo as I remember Fabio quite well but history is written by the victors and Marcelo just so happens to be a very fit man.

And you know what, the club and us fans didn't really suffer for it. Well, except the accountants who keep seeing Fabio's name pop up on the payroll sheet and have to keep checking to see if he still a Madrid player.

even marcelo is not the fittest of the bunch, marcelo has had a lot of injuries over the years. but once again coentrao makes marcelo seem fit as a fiddle.....guy just had to go. his price tag makes the acquisition bad. he wasn't as crap as drenthe or heinze, but for 35 million and a billion injuries, i have to put him in the list of madrid flops
