Oscar was seen as the pride and joy of Chelsea when he was bought following his rise to prominence in Brazil and the Olympics. Even more so when his heroics saw him unseat the two time Chelsea player of the year in Mata as the undisputed no.10 of the club.

China, and AVB, look set to give Oscar a chance at finally getting everything he wants. A starring role for Brazil again(Hulk, Renato Augusto, and Paulinho have all featured again for Brazil since moving to China), Fame(China is emerging as the biggest market in the world now), and competition with the money being spent there. A lot of trust is being placed in AVB now.

Oscar could well be revitalized there.

No one's getting revitalized in a shit league, if they do well for their NTs it's because they're good players, but no one's holding their breath waiting to see how these guys do in China.

Players can do well for their NTs in spite of playing in China. No one is getting revitalized or improving for moving there.

I don't know. Paulinho definitely was revitalized in China compared to his Spurs days. I think there are two lesser leagues

1)Retirement leagues- This is where people who are ending their careers go. This is like the MLS. Nobody tries.

2)Striver leagues- This is what Chinese league is now. They are getting YOUNG skilled players like Alex Teixeira. With Oscar now there the line is clearly drawn in the sands. China is a league where you go to play and promote your brand. Not simply a place where you go to ride off into the sunset.

China is a league where you go make absurd amounts of money regardless of your skill. Thats all it is.

I'd say its the highest level of football in Asia at this point, and this is coming from a guy who is partial towards the J1 league.

Its just rich owners paying absurd money for players with little ambition in footballing terms. Nothing more. Fair play to them for using their money as they want.

Ramires made the move last year too, and watching some of the matches Chelsea played while he was there under mourinho, and what his team in China played I'd say the difference wasn't that big

Paulinho is a talentless hack and now a days the only Chinese based players who get a shot at the national team are the ones that have played for Corinthians (and Tite) before. Tite is taking this favoritism BS to a whole another level.

The results don't lie though. The chinese players have been, for the most part, a net positive under him.
