Fluminense has had an interesting squad this year.. if they can take this late Brasielirao momentum into the Libertadores (which includes Fred scoring like crazy), they are going to be very strong. Boca x Flu is a mouth-watering encounter.

the thing is that it wouldn't have been different with any Brazilian team atm. perhaps a team with a better defense might've conceded less, but they would still lose.

Apparently Corinthians are considering signing Welliton from Spartak Moscow, as his contract supposedly ends in 2012.

If he does come, he'll replace Adriano, who will probably be released when his contract expires.

Santos have probably one of the worst defenses in Brazil... idk how you really thought they would actually win with Durval and Edu Dracena...

Copa Libertadores is such a weak comp... its weaker than Brasileirao.. lets be serious here.

Hell, Corinthians couldn't get through the play-offs against a mediocre team that didn't get past the group stage, and then went on to win the Brasileirão.

I don't deny that our defense is bad dude!, what I'm saying is that the Libertadores is not weak. Corinthians haven't even won it yet... ever.

but we have a CWC title

and just won the Brasileirao... I'm pretty sure Corinthians in that Libertadores had a lot of issues. A lot of players that didn't fit the Corinthians mold for a variety of reasons that the president/coach tried to force fit into the team to make a work.

Kléber (Inter) and Rodolfo (Lokomotiv/Grêmio) are apparently close to joining Vasco.

And Dagoberto will join Inter in January as they (according to Lance!) accepted to pay R$ 1 million to have him in January rather than waiting until April.
