Andres Iniesta wrote:They better pay his wages, tho. Smile

any chance of 'Dinho leaving, given he hasn't been paid in months?

U de Chile make work outta Vasco...Eduardo Vargas making me proud.

Dinho is in talks about renewing his contract lol. Flamengo aren't the ones who owe him money.. Traffic's part of the wage is the one missing. I'm pretty sure Flamengo can pay him more than enough of his payments monthly.

Lets be serious here, Vasco is too worried about winning the brasileirao title.

Copa do Brasil's new format was announced today, it will be played by 86 teams (rather than 64) starting in 2013:

1st round: 80 teams
2nd round: 40 teams
3rd round: 20 teams
4th round: 10 teams from the 3rd round + 6 teams from Copa Libertadores

Then quarter-finals, semifinals and final.

If Brazil have only 5 teams in Copa Libertadores, then the 6th spot there goes to the highest placed team in CBF's club ranking.

I think it's a good format, but Libertadores teams enter too late, it will be very easy for them to win Copa do Brasil.

Its about time they expanded the Copa do Brasil. more smaller teams with the chance to upset bigger teams.

that is true, it's normal in brazil. but as a santista, i must say that i dont like that philosophy. last year we won the copa do brasil and did the same thing - just ignored the brasileirao. i do understand that we can't wear our players out because of the club world cup, but we could've aimed for a top-7 finish.

i like vasco's attitude - they were this close to winning the brasileirao, even though they'd already won the copa do brasil.

ah, and congrats to corinthians and catracho. but, i want to see it next year when they have to actually worry about another championship other than the brasileirao...

Oh, and wtf? Jorginho leaving Figueirense? What a money-hungry bitch. I really thought he got something special going, and he's just going to leave them? To Japan? He'll become completely forgotten, completely unknown over there... how disappointing.
