that is true, it's normal in brazil. but as a santista, i must say that i dont like that philosophy. last year we won the copa do brasil and did the same thing - just ignored the brasileirao. i do understand that we can't wear our players out because of the club world cup, but we could've aimed for a top-7 finish.

i like vasco's attitude - they were this close to winning the brasileirao, even though they'd already won the copa do brasil.

ah, and congrats to corinthians and catracho. but, i want to see it next year when they have to actually worry about another championship other than the brasileirao...

Oh, and wtf? Jorginho leaving Figueirense? What a money-hungry bitch. I really thought he got something special going, and he's just going to leave them? To Japan? He'll become completely forgotten, completely unknown over there... how disappointing.

What a legend Laughing

Unfortunately for him, he will never be mentally ready to ever play for a big club or the NT for that matter.

He has some real issues.. kinda like Walter at Internacional. Stuff that psychiatrists can only help him with.

Some interesting players to watch for in this torneio.

Gremio with Misael and Yuri Mamute who are some real craques.

Santos with Victor Hugo.

Flamengo with Adryan and Negueba.

Vasco with Willen and Marlone.

Internacional with Alisson and Dellatorre.

According to this, CBF realize that in the future they will handle only the national team, leaving the revamped Clube dos 13 to handle the leagues, moving towards a sort of Brazilian Premier League.

For those who can speak Portuguese and are fans of the late Socrates, aka Doutor or Magrão, here is a Cartão Verde tribute made for him.

For those who don't know, Cartão Verde is a football program (the best in Brazil imo), which Socrates had been a part of for the last 4 years. I watch it every week, including last Tuesday, which is why it was even weirder to hear about his passing on Sunday.
