Mano Menezes explains why Marcelo/Hernanes/Hulk are out of the Copa América squad

Still discussing this issue! Marcelo didn't fake any injury, the guy was wetting his pants at the thought of playing for the national team after a long hiatus, he had a collision with a player during training which resulted in a bruised rib, the Brazilian Medical team decided not to risk him for the friendly against Scotland! Big deal!

According to the Madrid Medical team, this was confirmed by MRI scan, which meant he had to be out of action for about 2 weeks, thus missing a game which Madrid lost at home, the first in 9 years for Mourinho.

I still don't get why every Brazil fan has ganged up on Marcelo accusing him of choosing club over country. He has done no such thing, and I expect Menezes to come out and apologize to both Madrid and the player, or bring to public the said email and the other evidences to support his case. Leave Marcelo alone, he doesn't deserve all the negative comments after the season he had!

Menezes is talking a load of crap about Hernanes positioning to be honest. Where does Ganso play for Santos? he shouldnt be there either. Sounds as if Hernanes played that CAM role for Lazio all his life while he was actually playing deeper in brazil, so much bs.

I dont buy the Hernanes one, but to be honest, he did seem to be saying is was personale prefence as much as anything.

Andre Santos by the way is clearly better defensively then Marcelo, its not even close, considering who plays on the right flank and how much they go forward, having a more conservative player on the left is fairly reasonable.

I have watched Hulk for 3 seasons now, I am secondary Porto fan, he isnt a number 9 and he never will be. Brazil used him there and it clearly doesnt work, you get nothing out of him there.

When you have Robinho and Neymar, you dont really need someone who does the same sort of things in the same sort of areas, not in that system.

if mano doesn want to select players based on their discipline and their nature how the hell does neymar become their star players.. hes no arch angel.. or for that matter robinho..
