I still think I'd be planning for life without Agger... we can hope his injuries are behind him but it'd be naive in the extreme to assume as much.

Vertonghen in January to cover DM while Lucas is out and CB while/when Agger is... That would be lovely.

Eriksen is a CAM though, and we've actually got some depth there.

I just don't want to see Vertonghen at Chelsea or Spuds.

His performances thus far have been a breath of fresh air in comparison to his last two seasons.

He seems to be back to his 08/09 form which is great.

Clarke seems to have done wonders for Skrtel, IMO. I'm certain that the mostly consistent backline has helped as well, but since Clarke's arrival Skrtel appears to have found the level of consistency we had all hoped for and he'd even become a goal threat from set pieces. Skrtel's new found consistency and Agger's new-found robustness have really made me eat my own words about us needing a new CB. Long may it continue.

In my honest opinion he's been the best CB in England, not only top 3/5 Art. He's probably top 3/5 in Europe. Agger top 5 Thumbs up
