bayern sure but napoli isnt that much better than lyon or ajax specially because these two sides arem ore experienced in european football.. also wondering just how many city players would get into madrid's squad.. we have better players but not by much.. the main difference is mourinho while they have mancini.. that alone makes a big difference

I hope Man City ends up 2nd in the groups [which looks likely] & Barca win their group.

This means there is a great chance Man City will either face us Madrid or Barca and we'll get this whole thing answered...

Forgetting club loyalties I'd take Kompany over Puyol. Faster, Stronger and better with the ball at his feet.

I dont change my stance.I didnt rate Fab as high as others back then.Thought he was a stupid signing and I still do.You should read what I have said of his performances on the Barca board.But that doesnt mean Silva is better than Cesc.
Regarding Kompany he is an elite defender but still Puyol has the edge.The Puyol-Pique partnership is a world class proven one and Kompany cant break in.Kompany will make our bench though.
Adriano is better than Clichy,not just technique wise.Clichy has a lot of pace to burn but so does Adriano.

Abidal is not a bodybuilder.He has good technique for a FB.For proof watch the cross for Fabregas in the Bilbao game.

Alex I pretty see your point in all those selection but I have one issue.

Silva is playing really really well atm so when you say "I don't rate Cesc but he's still better than Silva" that doesn't really fly IMO. You can't have both to avoid being wrong. Right now at least it's either one or the other

So which is it? You can't have both.

Cesc fits barca more by smile. Barca need width, something silva doesn't offer. Cesc can also attempt to play cm, something silva can't do. Cesc better than silva for barca.

Dont see whats wrong in what I said.Cesc is a proven world class player for years now.Silva is not.
Also jib rightfully pointed out,Cesc can play CM while Silva cannot.
Granted Cesc has been poor for us while Silva has been excellent for City.
Still Cesc is better imo.

zidane is a player that led a French team to a world cup with amazing performances, silva and fab have not done anything of note, so they best way to judge them is by using stats.
