He really is an idioit.

Luiz was having a good game all around untill he got caught on the ball once when surrounded by 3 or 4 players.

Luis Suarez also owned him once down the flank, which can happen to anybody.

Luiz wasnt great by any means, but dont get why he deserves such comments.

David Luiz has become a target in the English media though so not surprised by this.

Chelsea could go the entire season without conceding a single goal and he'll still be targeted because he has "foreign" hair and has excellent technique for a defender

Thought he was the only Chelsea defender that actually had a decent game against Liverpool. Terry, Cole, Ivanovic & Mikel were far worse.

Except Jones is 19, Luis is 24. 5 years difference. Jones is the best young CB atm, and has potential to be one of the best CBs ever to play the game, maybe, potentially, better than Beckenbauer and Maldini.

That's rich coming from Neville, who for the 2nd half of his career was the most conservative toss of a fullback on the ball you will ever see.

A typical Neville scenario: Entire game is being played mostly in opposition half; Neville gets the ball and charges full tilt up to the halfway line with it; realises he is rubbish going forward, turns around and passes it all the way back to Rio. Accomplished, NOTHING.

Of course he has a problem with Luiz, he is jealous of his charisma and lovable fro. Like the anti-christ, because Luiz is adventurous of course Neville is going to have a problem with him. He is the anti-Neville.

Besides, David Luiz I feel, could be so much better at fullback or central midfield. His attacking talent is wasted at the back. Great player.

It's because he is overrated and nothing special at all. Has no positional sense, tries to pass his way out of danger instead of just booting away numerous times during the LFC game and is always rash with his challenges once he gets disposessed with the ball. But just because the guy can dribble and sometimes score goals, people dismiss his lack of defensive qualities.

Neville is one of the best pundit out there and actually knows what he is talking about- he is far from an idiot.

PS who could forget that awful performance he had at Old Trafford last season when he was caught napping and played Hernandez onside for his goal....he was so bad that Ancelotti took him off at half time.

He is still young though, so he has time to improve.

I reckon he should have waited a bit more before moving, his lack of positional sense is under a microscope because of the pace of the prem. he will get better though tbf.

Exactly. There is a reason that SAF isn't playing him at cb even when Vidic wasn't there. The hype he's getting is typical of the English media tbh. Pathetic, but let's not forget that these are the same morons that started calling willshere's name with xaviesta. He is 19 tbf, so he has time to improve.

I agree Jibers, he a good player but he doesn't seem to fit in atm.

He'll probably get used to it though. He's quality he just has to adapt and if he doesn't he'll just go be awesome in another league where he will fit in.
