Lass was quite good today.

Did most things right and didnt even pick up a yellow when 7 others got carded. loved his touch at times but at the same time did have his bad moments. Went up forward better than khedira. was quite surprised it was alonso that was to be in the middle but meh. Good game. Haters gonna Hater.

He was allowed to chase around and defend + do what he can on offense. The less he has to think, the better he does. He should never play midfielder in a 4-2-3-1. 4-3-3, he's fine.

Next game he'll probably struggle to control the ball, foul and give the ball away. He's inconsistent.

The only one who was really good today was Soldado.

Just shows how we never appreciate our castilla, they still make stars and good players, we just don't give them the chances they deserve.

Omarish, see my quote in other thread re predictions. I think most of the better players in liga (other than the top teams) are Madrid cast offs!!!

Yeah, our castilla is still great. Mata is doing good at Chelsea too, he has been their best player so far according themselves

Plus, Soldado has scored all important goals for Valencia so far. He is carrying them on his back.

I have no clue what you people are talking about. Lass was garbage. He had one good run at the beginning of the game, and then........ nothing. Offered little defensively (except for the constant fouling) and supplemented nothing in attack.

I thought Khedira ,once again, out classed him in every way. Let's put a nail in the coffin on this one.

Lass save the Midfield tonight from sinking in the 2nd half when Khedira went off mentally.
In the 4/3/3 he can always shine but playing the 4/2/3/1 remind me of some 2-6

Otherwise, Soldado was frankly the MOTM (Ramos in our side).

ya to be honest lass played fine today. nothing brilliant but did his job and tbh OVERALL played better than khedira- who had a better first half but completely disappeared in the second.

He recovered alot of ball and ran towards bunch of valencia players and lost possession there,no effect,just time passing player.Same with Khedira.

I have to agree with Adit. It was not all that special from Lass... but again, at least it was ok. I felt bad for our forwards because Khedira and Lass either brought nothing or messed things up last night. They really had to do it on their own.

Once Sahin comes back, we can truly run a 4-3-3. You put Alonso and Sahin in there and, if you want to go defensive, you go with Lass...more offensive, Khedira.

I actually like the 4-3-3 a lot more than the 4-2-3-1. Only reason 4-2-3-1 works well is that Di Maria is "the little engine that could". He runs up and down the field like a madman. Without him, we might as well just stick to the 4-3-3 mostly. Against Barca, if Di Maria is not fit, we'll have to go 4-3-3.

Now that Di Maria is not playing, i'm actually seeing his overall impact to Mou's tactics. He's quite important.

For me Lass is an underrated player. He is not given his chance in order to become consistant. I would be happy if he goes to United because they have a big problem in midfield and he could be starter there. Blanc should call him for Euro 2012 as he could be a good addition to the Frech NT.

Mou on Lass today:

"Lass can play in any position and does everything well. He has great character and is a starting player. He will play again tomorrow."

I hope he's kidding lol.
