Have to stop in Torino to pick up Marotta, I'll approach from the left, he'll never see me coming
Do not bother with Marotta, he will probably end up losing him anyway. Take Luciano Moggi or Claudio Zuliani instead.

Those stats in Football manager at a player his age, is almost impossible to find. He's one of the few wonder kids in the game.

We already have Ekdal and a good starting midfield, why make new purchases? I dont have anything against any of the players you said, I just think Ekdal is worth utilizing...

As a regista for Pirlo? I'd rather get better altenatives in my opinion.

Making new purchases is a necessity because Ekdal is not quality enough and Verratti is a name for the future who is younger, more gifted, Italian, and said himself he is a Juventus fan. Andrea Poli speaks for himself as well.

I'd rather spend money on LB and RB before CM tbh

@Luca: good, good. I will charge it to Amauri's enormous salary-based income which is not merited.
@Italian_Fool: once players are sold, more than enough money will be had from the amount gathered from selling, and the additional transfer kitty.

If there is extra money to spend after we reinforce the defense and clear debts, then I have nothing against any of the guys you said. Marotta should be focused on those 2 things before anything. If we need more reinforcements after spending could be an option but recalling loans is a cheaper option.

Verratti won't be too expensive. In any case, when Pirlo eventually can't play due to injury or whatever, you will see how a Regista will be needed the most.

I think we can play fine with a Marchisio-Vidal midfield in a 4-2-4.
And I also do not believe Verratti can instantly fill Pirlo's shoes as you guys think he will.

Exactly. He is doing well, great for him, but he is not Juventus quality. Also, Giandonato is nearly three years younger as well.
Guess I must still be biased, eh Fab ?
Yep, look ekdal has talent but he's not juve quality like you said. Giandonato has more potential.

Who will be the one to spread out play in midfield to the wingers?

Re: Albin Ekdal
Currently Juventus depends on Pirlo SOOOOO much
With proper wingers (KRASIC and ELIA) the reliance is much less
It would then be up to Marchisio and Vidal to spread play and the approach would be very different but doable
Not currently though, not with Pepe alone..

Let me add.
Giandonato was the U20 captain of the Italy squad.
Giandonato was the one who scored that amazing free kick against Manchster United.
nuff said.

Juve have had a chance to bring hack Ekdal 3 times. There's a reason why we never did

So he can gain experience?
There is no reason we can't have both of them on the team....
Either way, considering Ekdal is ours already, I think he can prove useful as a squad player. I never said he was better than anyone, just that we could benefit from him.

Re: Albin Ekdal
Agreed. I believe in order for the 4-2-4 to work without Pirlo we need BOTH Elia and Krasic together at the same time. Marchisio and Vidal together can manage to get forward and spread play but most of the play making would be on Elia and Krasic's shoulders. I think them 2 together would make our defense much more solid though. We need them to come back to form quickly because if Pirlo get's injured we will have little to no creativity left since we don't have a proper backup for him.Luca wrote:Currently Juventus depends on Pirlo SOOOOO much
