Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Poor Glenno, this injury came at a very bad time for him. It looked like he was hitting the stride into that brilliant run of form that he has every reason for a short period.

Daniel So unluckyRodgers told the Daily Mail: “Philippe will have a wee scan. As for Daniel, It’s too early to say whether he will be fit for Saturday. He had a real freak incident in the gym. Just before he was coming out to train, he overstretched trying to prevent a dumbbell falling on his foot.
“He has overstretched and yanked his side. We are waiting to see if that settles down over the next few days. If it doesn’t, we have got ample replacements. That is why we brought in extra players.”

Liverpool have confirmed Philippe Coutinho will undergo a procedure on the shoulder injury he sustained in Monday evening's 2-2 draw with Swansea City.
The Brazilian was forced from the field during the second half of the contest at the Liberty Stadium following a challenge with Ashley Williams.
After being assessed by the Reds medical staff, it's been decided that Coutinho will now have surgical stabilisation on the AC joint in his shoulder.
Liverpool hope to have the 21-year-old back in contention again towards the end of October.

I think soton will be a good test how BR sets the team and how he grinds out three points, as many of players are injured.

Thank *bleep*. Thought he was gone for 2 months or so.
What's wrong with Martin Kelly? And why is a 32 year old CENTRE BACK playing in front of him as a full back?

Yeah, if Kelly is fit, he should have at least a sub appearance soon enough. We'll see whether Rodgers takes the league cup game against United like it was a premier league game or will the XI be a little more alternative, so maybe Kelly could feature there, I don't know.

Liverpool's Coutinho, Johnson, Allen and Cissokho set to return to training
Injured quartet could even be in contention to play for Champions League hopefuls at Newcastle on Saturday
Liverpool have been offered a timely boost to their Champions League charge.
Boss Brendan Rodgers has been given the perfect pick-me-up to the Reds' growing top-four hopes with the return of four key players to first team action.
England star Glen Johnson, Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, new signing Aly Cissokho and Wales midfielder Joe Allen are all due back in training this week as the Reds prepare for a two-month Premier League programme that will define their ambition for the rest of the season.
Samba star Coutinho is seen as a crucial component in Liverpool’s system, and he is set for an early return after successfully undergoing surgery on a shoulder he damaged against Swansea in mid-September.
Likewise Johnson, who is already back in training, after being sidelined since limping out of the win over Manchester United at the start of last month.
The return of the influential duo couldn’t be better timed, with a tough run of games including Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham, City and Chelsea to come before the New Year.
All four players could even be vying for selection for this weekend’s visit to Newcastle, with Johnson and Cissokho back on the training ground and Coutinho well ahead of schedule.
Allen is eager for a return after picking up an hamstring injury in August.
He said: “I’m almost there. The plan is a good few days [training] leading up to Newcastle and hopefully I’ll be available.”
France international Cissokho, a season-long loanee from Spanish side Valencia, lasted just 10 minutes of his home debut in the League Cup win over Notts County after picking up an ankle injury.
Rodgers confirned he is now ready to make an impact, along with the others.
“Aly has trained and he should be fine and fit for the Newcastle game, and likewise Joe. Glen’s out on the field and hopefully after the international break he’ll be ready to come back,” he said.
Coutinho is quite possibly the most important player though, as Liverpool look to maintain the flying start which has taken them to the top of the table.
The Brazilian said this week: “The surgery was a success, and I’ll be back soon.”

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
coutinho has already become a samba star
I think we will see Johnson given few minutes but doubt coutinho will be risked so early specially if we are winning comfortably.
Good to see Allen back, we have one more option now for the midfield.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
I agree with RO, I know LB is a position from long time we are looking to have adequate depth. But Gleno as back up and Kelly will be available most likely before that. I think we should fully concentrate on a midfielder this Jan window
