Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Meh I was never worried. Knew they were taking it out of the proportion.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
So as of now -
Allen, Gerrard, Sturridge, Agger, Sterling are injured.
Kelly has recovered.
No news about Sterling getting fit. Or did i miss it?

Gerrard returned two weeks early to training in order to get fit and will be ready for first match (and probably well before then). Allen and Agger I've both heard will be fit at some point during preseason and ready for the first game. Sturridge is a little bit more questionable, although hopefully will be back in a good time frame.
Sterling I haven't heard anything about either.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Sterling's injury, as I understand it, wasn't all that serious and he was partially dropped in an effort to give him some rest in the latter stages of the season. I'd guess (unless I missed some serious injury news) he's probably already healed.
I'm more concerned about the lack of updates on Yesil and Pelosi. Given the seriousness of their injuries I would have liked to have heard something on their respective recoveries.

Agree with Red. Much more concerned for Yesil and Pelosi. I was under the impression, Sterling was dropped partially because he had a slight knock and becasue we wanted to give his body rest (like Red already mentioned).

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Can anyone please inform my on the current situation & recovery process of Marc Pelosi? It's about 5 months since that jerk from West Brom caused his horrific injury as I worry about the ragazzo I hold high hopes for.
I don't have any proper source to find out. Does anyone know?

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
The last semi-official update I've seen on Pelosi's injury and recovery came back in late February and it was just a statement saying that his surgery was successful (NESN LINK).
A break like that is 9 to 12 months minimum though, apparently. It could be February/March of 2014 before he's back in full training.
“Marc sustained a nasty fracture to the main bone in his leg — his tibia — and he had surgery on Monday evening to put that back into a good position,” academy doctor Nigel Jones told Liverpoolfc.com. “Everything went well with the surgery and we’ll work hard to make sure he gets back as soon as possible.”

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Thanks, Red! Very kind of you as this data has provided me all I needed to know.
Sounds like a Tibia Plateau Fracture in the High Energy spectrum which is worse than I thought. All the skeletal tractions, plating & screws involved can go beyond a year of recovery. What's worse is the recovery process cannot be rigorous within full training in order not to destabilize anything.
This is very troubling indeed as Pelosi is in a crucial developmental stage in his career. What was the West Brom opponent doing to cause a Tibia Plateau? Individuals of his age do not have the skeletal strength that fully developed footballers do. These types of injuries can resonate far into your career.
Get well soon, Marc.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed that he is 'feeling strong' in his recovery from shoulder surgery and expects to return for pre-season training.

Liverpool FC @LFC 54s
Philippe Coutinho pulled out of the session with a sore calf after receiving a kick. Nothing too serious.
Coutinho to good for our defence

NOOOOOOO COU NOOOOOOO. I know it says it's nothing serious but any sort of injury to our little Phil gives me a heart attack.

Kolo Toure is out with a tight calf; Philippe Coutinho with a training ground knock. Neither serious.

Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger have missed the open training session.
Sturridge is back, In line to feature against Vala or Celtic. Vala might be too soon.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Could it be anything to do with DAgger's knee? He was down for quite a while. If it wasn't like the 90th minute, he would of came off imo.

He was back on his feet, But he was clearly in discomfort, and i read its his thigh not his knee.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Agger's injury seemed more like a dead leg than a knee injury. I hope it's just hard knock and nothing serious. It ruins our whole season if he's seriously injured.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a dead leg? Is that serious? Because it sounds like it. :X

Oh. "Dead leg" sounds like they need to amputate it ffs. Why make it sound worst than it actually is.

You think that sounds bad? The Red Sox signed someone this past offseason with "hip necrosis." It sounds like his body is decaying.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
It seems the 24 man squad does not include both agger and sturridge. It seems Agger's injury is not serious at all, that they will reassess again in 1-2 days!!!

No, apparently necrosis is a chronic problem and he's not going to recover from it period. It's actually a bad thing and cost the guy about 15 million dollars in salary once they found it in the medical.
Anyway, has nothing to do with Liverpool
