THE ULTIMATE DAD ON THE WAY

On November 3rd this year, Ignazio Abate celebrated the end of a special year. A year that had started with the game that changed his career, the 2-2 draw against Real Madrid where he won the duel with Cristiano Ronaldo. That day a new player was born.

Since then, there have been many key dates in the life of Ignazio Abate:

14 November 2010: Milan win the derby 1-0 but he was sent off. The half hour spent with Galliani in the dressing room came and went and the team went on to win the match. All is well that ends well.

12 Dicember 2010: Milan beat Bologna 3-0 and Ignazio defensive play continues to improve.

20 February 2011: Milan beat Chievo in Verona and the comeback in that match was largely down to Abate's fantastic performance going forward down the flank.

2 April 2011: Thanks to his assist, Pato scores the second goal in the Derby-Scudetto showdown.

7 May 2011: Milan are crowned Champions of Italy and he wins his first piece of silverware.

6 August 2011: Ignazio's ball for Pato leads to the second goal in the Italian Super Cup in Beijing.

15 October 2011: Another assist, this time for Cassano against Palermo.

6 November 2011: He is called up for international duty.

9 November 2011: His friend and team mate, Rino Gattuso, says he is the complete player.

Next up: The ultimate joy, he will soon become a dad!!
