Madrid, Anti Defensive?

Casillas belives Spain should have gotten a result as Spain were pushing England into their area, despite Spain's pitfull display upfront. Xabi Alonso belives Slide Tackles are not a skill and has degraded Sliding Tackles as a "recurso" or a last resort.

One would have to wonder, will Casillas and Alonso believe the same if Real Madrid manage to defeat Barca using Defensive Tactics?

Overall there is nothing wrong with what he said about the England game, he is correct.

Yea he is being a slight hypocrite but that's minor.............basically every footballer does it.

It's like

Player A after a attacking loss - "we played very well and probably should've won."

Player B after a defensive win - "we took our chances and that's what counts"

"It's a generic answer we've seen most players and managers give ie most players and managers give."

Also somewhat a correction on the OP - Iker said that he believed they should've won because they had more chances - but he also admitted that they were wasteful.

Not because Spain were "Pushing England into their area" a minor difference but important one if you feel the need to asses his statement from the point of view of Barca/Madrid matches.
