Marchisio has Juventus regrets
Juventus may be top of the League, but Claudio Marchisio isn’t totally satisfied with how the Serie A table looks.
The Old Lady are a point clear of Udinese and Lazio, while they are two points ahead of champions Milan.
“We’re at the top of the League and that’s where we want to stay,” he stated. “However, there’s an element of regret.
“We’ve dropped a few points which would have allowed us to enjoy an even greater lead, but we’re still happy about how we’ve started the season.”
The Turin giants are unbeaten in the championship, but they have drawn with Bologna, Catania, Chievo and Genoa.
Juve have struggled in recent years following the Calciopoli sentences, but they are hungry to taste glory again.
“The Scudetto is a nice word, but the championship is a long one,” he continued.
“All of us, myself included, feel great anger for the disappointing results of the recent past and we want to bring Juve back to where the club belongs.
“We’re a united squad and winning gives us even more conviction in what we’re doing. A conviction which helps us to develop.
“There’s a completely new staff set-up here and we’ve carried out different work which is evidently paying off.
“Playing just once a week enables us to recover from those light injuries which slow you down for four or five days, something that’s impossible if you play in the Cups.”
