Dark Souls

Beat Artorias like a man that I am. none of that high stability shield nonsense. Like I said I shouldn't have watched that shitty YouTube videos. I struggled because using shield was exactly opposite of my playing style which is a good weapon, both hands. Went back to my original game and did him in fourth try. Would have had him in first itself, had I not been the greedy bastard. FFS I have been feeling really shitty for past couple of days due to this boss fight. We did it folks.

Wait a minute I was told nay I was assured that Artorias is the toughest boss in the game. @mate99 pls respond asap.

For me he was. The two remaining are tough but Artorias whooped me more times than them combined.

Ornstein & Smough is the toughest and its not even close.

I barely remember Artorias as he literally gives you time to dodge and a usual formula does work with him.


For some, many bosses are tougher than others for instance I beat Four Kings in legit one try and 3 mins and I heard its the toughest.


Depends on your playing style. I went with highly defensive with Ochigatana Lighting.

Yea that's the most interesting part of Soulsborne games. Everyone finds different bosses to be their toughest.

We got kalameet and Gwyn left. Hopefully we'll finish the game tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

There's a secret boss in Anor Londo. You need to wear a specific ring or kill the huge lady near Ornstein and Smough's boss room to access him (doing so will drastically alter Anor Londo permanently).

FFS killed Gwyn before Kalameet and linked the fire how do I get back to kalameet?

Gg, you're in NG+ now. No way to go back other than progressing all the way to DLC area again.

Ffs. This feels so anticlimactic. I kept Kalameet last because I wanted the last fight to be memorable. This is it then folks. Also tremendous thanks to you and @RG for helping me through out.

You mean I didn't miss anything? Also what should I play next DS2 or BB? I really want to play BB but at the same time don't want to break the flow by not following the order.

Nah you still need to fight every boss despite how bad. But i guess it can't be helped unless you want to play it again.

Play BB last since it's the best in the series. Go for DS2:SoTF next. Then DS3. Then Sekiro and then BB.

My only complaint about BB is the lack of rewards/drops like in the other Souls Game. I think 2 maybe 3 bosses dropped an item to buy a weapon from the shop. That’s it.

I don’t expect the same in DS3.

yeah, DS3 is the usual Souls formula

insane amount of weapons/drops etc

Hard disagree on this. Kalameet was a great fight.

I think i have a strong dislike against dragon bosses.

Been wanting to start the Dark Souls series for some time and I’ve got 2 and 3, but my question is: Does Dark Souls 1 still hold up well? Do I need to play it before the rest?

Does it hold up? Yes.

Do you need to play it before the others? Not really. The games are all self-contained.

I would recommend playing it because its one of the best games ever made and the best of the trilogy.

Start 2 first, I started it day before yesterday.
